congrats mate, i now how you feel, as i do all my models suply via ebay, the door rings a lot or sometimes not...but i got a postman i now personally and he leaves stuff where i can reach it...in shops near us or our neighbors...
thats when living in a multi apartment house beats a house and garden for your own^^

So far i've built 3 sanguinary guard completely, and 2 need heads and arms.
All need CH JP's, which I'll order hopefully next saturday.

the putting together is a major fun part...the cleaning up is something i hate... but that way you learn the model very closley...and did you make play with said minis? some lil noises and some speach? as: "take that xeno, scum of the universe..." i do that^^

sometimes when playing games...
I have one pointing his mace and looking that way, boltgun-arm lowered, one charging forward shouting with his power fist raised, one holding his mace aloft and looking forward, one charging forward, mace arm behind him and I need to do the last one.
then I have 15 marines to assemble, 2 razorbacks and some CH jump packs to buy, then I wait 3 months and buy a falchion.

the falchion is that super heavy from that dude here on dakka , non? he makes real cool stuff, bu i am not sure sm would actually use these, as i dont see sm with lots of gadjets, they´re more a "personal" closer to the enemy kind of army to me...but i guess thats just me...

falchios and fellblades are altered baneblades crewed by marines during the heresy- there are still some operating in the 41st millenium.

I've changed the one looking at his mace- he now has it lowered and is shooting with his angelus boltgun.
The 4th one will remain unassembled until tomorrow evening (back to school tomorrow)

Okay, vik- I have built all 5 (apart from JP's), and now I have a retinue for each character (bar Praxis).
Lenore- honour guard.
Audax- sanguinary guard.
Praxis- all terminators were wiped out at istvaan, so no TDA for his buddies. Maybe putting him in a tac. squad.
Validus- sternguard.

liturgies of battle: his unit can re-roll failed rolls to hit when they charge.

forgot to add in the uber-rhino. I'll edit it.
My folk's aren't rich- I just pour all my money into 40k ^^. (That and rock music).
the plasma pistol doesn't overheat because all the bits that would be burnt off have already been burnt off and replaced with adamantium, so it wouldn't have an effect.
1 shot a turn. S7, AP2, Gets hot, pistol.
And I'm not american.

1 tactical marine is done. I now know one thing- DA bolters suck. They're positioned so it can't be glued level- it has to be raised.
I need some boltgun-holding right arms...
I'm gonna be buying some 2mm plasticard tubing, and gluing them onto the end of my boltguns as silencers- sound good?

targeters on bolters will look better IMO, or are you going to use both targeter and silencer?

4 sterngurd have scopes, my libby has a scope, one marine has a scope and all the scopes I get I'll put on a model. I don't get many, though. Do you know of any sites that sell scopes seperately, or any bits sites?
I'm hoping to get at least 5 more scopes.
I'll have as many scopes as I can, but tactical marine will go without. Devestator sarge I want one, and my 2 tac. sergeants too.

well as for SM with silenced bolters just have a look at Gitspitas Matis Warriors, i am all for silenced bolters as i think we need more gentleman like SMs that keep the noise down from that awful shooting with shells...

and scopes...totally do that, normally only for vets but what the heck, do it it will ace up your force a treat...

As many scopes as I can. all bolters, bolt pistols and non-plasma/SB/las/flamer/melta weapons will have silencers.
Now I'm off to hunt for scopes...

So far I've found 4 sites with them, 3 being out of stock. There are 5 left at letthedicedecide for 50p each, and I'm gonna max out on them. 5 scopes- 1 on tactical marine "Sniper", one on deverstator sergeant, one on CCS veteran, two more on tactical marines.

TBH, the resin and press-oulder would cost more than just buying them. I only want a max. of 15.

nono, GS all the way, i wouldn´t put up with resin as what i read it is dangerous to use indoors and so i cant get that for me...there are some nice pressmould tuts here on dakka...

It looks good, but it says it only works on 2D parts- Only one side has the detail. How will I mould a scope?

firtsly i would rather scatchbuild them from something like looking like a hydraulic part... to different thick pieces of rod or rather one rod and a wider pipe and your good to go...

and if you want to use the gs still then just repeat the process with two bases full of gs and even more oil...like doing it as a gs sandwich with a bit in the middle...that should work, i would do it one side after the other tho, fully cured one side and then repating the process with the other half...its the like casting...
