Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Sure:

Only a year from manhood, a boy must now accept aid from a wizened old man, training him in lost arts to prepare him for the inevitable clash with a century-old tyrant that rules the land with an iron fist.

EDIT: If you want it more hint-like, just ask; i'm just a fan of cryptic hints.

Sounds like Dune, apart from the mystical bit...

Actually, it sounds more like Eragon now that I've googled the plot...

RE: Rules...

Scores should not be kept, the reward is being able to answer correctly and ask the next Question.

Qualitative, I know, but the challenge is half the reward.

HINTS: Perhaps after a set number of incorrect answers, further plot is given. Alternatively, a chronological limit? Dependent upon timezone, the traffic on the thread will vary, so a set number of incorrect answers may be the preferred option, otherwise some member's turns will not last long.

It is 3am in Norway, so i'd give him a little bit of leeway due to how he's probably asleep right now.

A time limit would be good, but it'd have to take time difference into account.

Anyway, time for a real headscratcher

I think this deserves to be in the Chain Fiction/Survivor Games forum moreso than the OT forum... right?

it's about a guy who is trying to keep secret the fact that his mother has turned into a zombie.
He fails miserably and the whole thing goes out of control.

Honestly mate, it doesnt achieve anything for me. However, others new to the thread and those following competitively may find them useful.

Afterall, its your time to update the OP, spend it as you wish.

Im enjoying the thread regardless.
