"Come on men, we need to set up camp!" Prometheus yelled in a superior voice. As everyone set up camp, Prometheus stopped to find a seal of some sort with ancient writing on it.

"Anyone a translator here?" Prometheus said, holding up the strange seal.

not me, I joined the marines to fiddle with tech and shoot gak.

Theo being old and wise enough grabbed the container and translated it. "Gimme a minute."

"What does it say?" asked Prometheus, stepping foreword to examine it.

"Its a container for me. It says to Theo, and has the very ancient seal of the imperium high lords. I think this could be something to help the mission", Theo says as he slowly presses a few hidden button recognizing it as a secure message tube for mission details of the utmost important. It opened and a message fell out. The seal on this was in a native tong of his from his home world. "For your eyes only" it read. "Prometheus this is for me I`ll read it and if I deem it necissary for the team to know I`ll tell you. Sorry", Theo said.

"Alright, well, I guess that we should eat something now," Prometheus said quietly, handing his men each some meat.

Theo read over the mission specifics. Nothing they needed to know. Theo grabbed a nutrition pack and went and sat by himself.

Alright from here I`ll be GM i guess. SO if someone else wants to RP my character that`d be great if not, I`ve been GM and a player before I`ll manage.

Demosthenes walks away with his food. (never lets anyone see his face as a penitence to failing his brothers on Jollana)

Tempastes watches Demosthenes go. "We should keep an eye on that one. I since guilt and
guilt breeds heresy"

" I shall search the woods for signs of where these heathens came from. Anyone who wishes to come with me can, but I won't be long." Corpeal said. "Might as well deal with these corpses too, they disgust me." He hefted his flamer and walked towards the trees.

The group all sit down and eat while exchanging stories of how they got here, except Theo and Demosthenes. They both sat on the outskirts eating.

The group finishes eating, and they get together and start to talk about plans on finding the way to the fortress.

after walking about 100 meters, Demosthenes removed his helmet, and frowned, "those ones are blinded by faith...the chaplain back at the fortress-monastery on Ogrys tought us to see past the blind devotion..." he muttered. and removed his helmet to be able to eat.

"Alright," Prometheus said, and everyone looked up at him.

"Now, we have a job to do, the High Lords of Terra assigned us themselves, by orders of the Emperor." Prometheus scanned the group, obviously looking for someone.

"Now, what next?"

Theo walked forward. "We must find a way to find the fortress. It is vital. We take that and we can get resupplied", Theo said.

"we should fortify the camp." sad Demosthenes, returning.

Prometheus raised an eyebrow, then helped fortify the camp. It looked impressive, for the elite squad had even made walls out of some high tech equipment they had brought. Prometheus volunteered for scout duty. But, he saw something coming.

"What is that? Huh...A Dreadnought!"

Returning from scouting the woods Corpeal said, "I found a small path they came from. It is slightly overgrown so we will have to walk. Otherwise I found a road leading around the woods, but don't know where it could lead."

raising his bolter, Demosthenes called out. "friend or foe?"

The Dreadnought made some mechanical noises, and then raised its missile launcher, and fired at the camp.

The missles torn against the walls having a jamming device to lure heat seekers. The walls absorbed it. Then the dreadnought charged.

"solves that question then." muttered demosthenes, then, arming a krak grenade (see armory) charges."IN BATTLE, I REPENT!"

Theo opened fire. The bolt rounds pinged against the armor until one found the slit in the front plate. The dreadnought reeled right before it tore into the marines.

As everyone ran for cover, an icy chill ran over the camp. followed by a blinding flash of light and the crack of a Teliporter.


a silver form in terminator armor appeared behind the Dreadnought. It fired several shots from the massive psycannon on its wrist. the Dreadnought was wreathed in fire as the explosive shells detonated. The machine fell forward limply.


"Rushing in blind as usual Brothers?" said Nicako

Demosthenes dives under the dread, and shoves the krak grenade into a waist joint after pulling the pin

Prometheus yelled, and fired his boltgun round after round. He eventually raised a melta, and fired.

"Too late brother, he is fallen"

"Faith is light enough to see." mutters Demosthenes, "But darkness enough, to blind"

The now almost dead dread is blown from the underside to the topside. It was split in half. The two parts fell to the ground and liquids gushed from the machine.
