Oh, I know the origins of blood pudding can be traced back to Greece (http://www.ochef.com/828.htm) and baked beans from Native Aboriginals from North America (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baked_beans).

That's square sausage from Scotland. It's terribly greasy which is why they only live to the age of 32, but it tastes good. I'm not entirely sure why it has never caught on in the states. It seems to tick all the right boxes?

That sounds like my idea of food.

Who would have thought a thread entitled "So i tried spotted dick" could be kept so (for the most part) sensible...?

I can only come to the conclusion that it is because most of the extreme haterz/fanbois of this forum that derail most threads love spotted dick.

Indeed this sounds like a mighty morsel for the morbidly hungry of both Scotland and the US. This discovery deserves a name in-keeping with this truly informative and interesting threads creator; I dub this artery clogging treat the King Cracker-Snacker!

God bless her and all who die as a result of eating her!
