What y'all (esp Melissia) have to remember is that this is 40k - even the Bureaucracy is of Grimdark proportions. That 1000 page report on imperial spending is the first part in a volume of 8.5 million, a third of which have been lost during astropathic transit, that apply to the tithe-barns of Perveasis Gamma in the latter months of 387-389.M36 that your family has been honour-bound for generations to read, commit to memory, then tattoo on the flesh of your infant children for safe keeping. While performing this holy task, you will see no daylight, working by the light cast by the servitor that was your grand-uncle - your grand-uncle who shamed your entire clan by taking 4.9 seconds longer than the permitted toilet break away from his desk....
The nicest parts of the Administratum are still like the film Brazil

Cadia's probably the only place where Imperial citizens know Chaos exists and don't get mind wiped by the Inquisition. Not to mention that by the time your ten years old, you know when to duck, to recognize various kinds of incoming ordnance, differentiate by sound an approaching Imperial/Chaos aircraft, field-strip, maintain, aim, fire, reload, etc. a lasgun or any small arms, as well as effectively use hand explosives and how to provide support in urban warfare.

I don't really agree with the first part, I doubt the Inquisition would waste its time with EVERY backwater planet in the Imperium. Not understanding Chaos would probably also remove some civilian will against it (There is a lot of propaganda to counter-act this though). It would make sense to let individuals remember Chaos, as long as the person is loyal to the Emperor, they will fight harder against it.

Citizens across the galaxy know what, essentially, Chaos is. They know it's a very bad thing and are reminded day in and day out by propaganda how horrible it is and how only a steadfast devotion to the God-Emperor can save them from it's evils. It's those who encounter daemons the Inquisition sometimes mind-wipe or purge.
[Bolded words for emphasis of Imperial propaganda]

You could probably say the same for Krieg, with a few alterations, considering that all Krieg does is constantly pump out what are regarded as some of the Imperiums best fighting forces. Terra decreed that nothing should inhibit Kriegs production of it's regiments and that any and all resources they need must be directed to them without obstruction. For the Korpsmen, from birth through the vitae womb technique to being drafted into a Regiment, all the sons of Krieg do is train for warfare - it's why on the FW list they all have WS4+, because of their preference for the bayonet & fighting up close and how much training they go through to learn to use their weapons.
This isn't to say "Oh Kriegs better than Cadia because they do that stuff as well," but more "It's not just Cadia."

That's a bit different, many, if not most Krieg guardsmen are cloned, as far as I know Krieg is the only planet with this sort of sanctioning for guardsmen Also krieg are so bred for war that they are not typically given proper names, only circulating serial numbers (you get the number of the man you replace after he dies). Kreig are mechanical killing/ dying machines compared to any other humans, this makes them hard to compare to average guard regiments.

So far as we know they are not cloned. We don't actually know what the vitae womb actually is except that it's looked upon by the Adeptus Mechanicus as being rather 'dodgy' to say the least - it's the only planet in the Imperium with the sanction to use it, but this comes from Terra's decree that Krieg produce nothing but Guardsmen. Considering that 'vitae' means live/life/living in latin I personally make the assumption that it's a faster birthing process - for example instead of 9 months to produce a child it might only take a matter of weeks with the vitae womb technique - perhaps it uses special tanks & so on to grow the fetus at accelerated rates. Because of the high volume of 'births' those born on Krieg do indeed have numbers instead of names which reinforces their grim, faceless visage and uinderlines that korpsmen are viewed more as equipment than as human beings.
EDIT: I should pop in here that I'm interpreting cloned as being "B is a copy of A, as is C, D, E, F etc and all are exactly the same because they're made from A's DNA."
If you have any sources that point to the vitae womb as being a means of cloning please link them. It's an enigma thats puzzled me since I first got my grubby mitts of IA5.
There isn't that much to seperate a soldier from Cadia and a soldier from Krieg apart from the psychology and way in which they wage warfare. Those born on both planets are trained to be soldiers from birth in all aspects of soldiering & warfare. Once you bring in psychology and their attitudes towards warfare then the gulf is enormous, but other than that their skills and training are more or less interchangable. Both planets produce hardened Guardsmen who are killing machines.

Indeed. Strangely, not many regiments like the Death Korp, and Emperor help Generals from the Death Korp who lead non- DKoK troops into battle.

Well they are incredebly cold and emotionless especially when faced with dead, remember in Dead Men Walking when Gunthar sees the DKoK grenadiers for the first time, he said something in the line of that they're ''something worst than the flayed ones they escaped''.

Point taken regarding mind-wipe policy. So Krieg and Cadian troops have similar characteristics, except Krieg troopers are probably little better than Servitors, while Cadians are normal Humans who live on the edge most (if not all) of the time.
I'm not saying Cadians are better than Krieg (or other Guard regiments), but I think I'm gonna have to go with Cadia.

Krieg and Cadian regiement are considered the best regiments, if only because because Kriegers don't care about death and are in near constant warfare and Cadian are right by the entrance of hell and are in constant warfare.

I'd add one more: Catachans. Their planet's a living hell, and the Guardsmen from that world are generally considered to be among the toughest specimens in Imperial service.

Now I do not have fluff memorised, however I think the big time the IoM has massacred regiments due to the touch of chaos was on Armageddon, and I think that was probably due to the fact a traitor primarch was involved.

Any major Chaos incursion usually results in purge of involved regiments, with the exception of sector-wide incursions (Black Crusades), due to the sheer loss of resources this would entail. Instead, said regiments are placed under heavy Inquisitorial surveillance.
