I disagree about that being a given, EA. The Black Library HH books aren't anywhere near Terra, so I doubt FW would jump straight there. There is plenty that has been covered in the HH books already for FW to start with, before we even start talking about Legion versus Legion:

1. The war with the Interex
2. The Megarachnids on Murder
3. Retaking Davin
4. Auretian Technocracy

Lots to expand on really.

If, you know, they actually ever release them, of course.

My guess would be the price would be closer to £45 to £65 using the chaos god specific daemon princes and heralds as a good price indicator, since you know they would be finecast models.

Priamarchs, Primarchs!!!

Dude, Forgeworld will give us the quality the Primarchs deserve and I SO want to have Konrad Curze leading my Night Lords against the Imperial weaklings! Gosh, that would be so epic!!

Man, Forgeworld, don't disappoint us on this one!

That reminds me, I'd love to see a Olamic Quietude list, if not models. That'd be brilliant.

There is a precedent for BL characters not being a crossover onto the tabletop. This could extend to FW as well. We will probably end up seeing a campaign that directly covers the major engagements and leads up to the war on Terra.

I'm sure there are plenty who disagree, but if I want the detailed story, the BL books are there to cover that. I want the epic battles of the Heresy and Primarchs, and Legion vs. Legion. To do it with the depth of BL novels would just be bleeding money that the average gamer can't afford. Three books to cover the main events of the Heresy is perfect, IMO.

You can never beat your first time. The second generation is shinier, stronger, faster and superior in every regard save one, and it's an unfair criticism to level, but it simply can't be as original. - Andy Chambers, on the evolution of Games Workshop games

My vote would be Ullanor. A sector wide battle at the apex of the crusade that involves the Big E, Luna Wolves, White Scars, Ultramarines, Ad mech, imperial army and the biggest waaaagh of all time.

Win!

Also Primarch models please. I prefer with rules, but even without is ok.

Problem is, much of these events are from the Great Crusade, not the Horus Heresy.
Depends how literal these rumours are I guess, although Harry himself admits not really knowing about 40K, however this might not extend to the HH...

I wasn't meaning that there wouldn't be Legion on Legion action in these books, I was just pointing out that there is a lot of ground OUTSIDE of Legion versus Legion that they could cover. I would still be surprised if they covered anything in a Forge World book that would bypass the current timeline in the HH series. They're certainly taking their time with the HH series with the Black Library. I doubt they would "spoil" any of their upcoming stories. I use spoil in quotes as I'm aware that the BL HH series is just taking the bits and pieces of established cannon and expanding on them greatly, or filling in gaps that were never mentioned before.

We'll see, though. I'd certainly love to get my hands on a Primarch, but I'm not sure I want one in the game.

Oh I know, I was just saying that the ground outside Legion vs. Legion you mentioned doesn't take place during the HH, but rather the Crusade. Again, it depends how literal the rumours were...

As has already been pointed out, that would be a Great Crusade campaign book, not a Horus Heresy one.

I suppose that it's possible (though it would be disappointing) that Forge World would (as the original Epic Space Marine did) stick to the open-ended "Road to Terra" portion of the Heresy, either designing scenarios around evens already established in the novels or filling-in events outside them, and leave the Siege itself to be a narrative postscript.

Still, I think there's some plausibility to the suggestion that any game supplements will follow the novels, and that Forge World's release schedule might offer some clues about Black Library's. I guess we'll have to wait a year or so to find out.

I'd love it if they introduced some of the Alien races mention, and the Technocracy. I hope this is true.

I would definitely be purchasing some..
