We have a group of about 10-11 guys playing. There is usually at least 6 people playing 40k on Saturdays. Right now, the main game is 40k and we have a couple of guys (me included) who play fantasy, warmachine, and x-wing (I actually don't play x-wing, and I am slow building up for fantasy and warmachine). Those last 3 are kind of random games that we play as a break from 40k when we feel like it. Other than that we have card games like MtG, CF-Vanguard, etc.

The gaming space is downstairs in the basement. We work with what we got and are always talking about ways to make things better (terrain is the project right now). A bunch of us are also trying to branch out and go to other area stores to play. It is part of our master plan to unite local gamers together. I am sure some would be receptive of alternative games; they would just need to be introduced. (the place for the robotech campaign I mentioned in the robotech thread is in Wareham). And we are always welcome to new players coming in.

Once I get enough INFINITY stuff painted up, I'll try to convert as many of you as possible!

Of course, we'll need lots of terrain for that...

I'd be game for it, and Boogy Man is always looking for more games (he just needs to like the aesthetic). The others would be a lot tougher sell. I guess I am really going to have to start working on my terrain making skills. Dang college taking all my time .

And that is why we are friends (besides the awesome brony vs anime fan ribbing ). Games are fun; so why limit your scope. If it stops being fun then you stop playing.

So what does the 40K scene in Concord (NH) look like? I'm going to be back home by the end of the summer (getting out of the Army after 10 years) so I'm curious when people play and what else is up? Also are there any X-wing groups/players in the area?

There is/was a regular group who play at Collectibles Unlimited on Tuesday nights I think. 6 or 8 regular guys. I played there once last summer but then had some family issues preventng me from going. I teach college at night in the fall and spring so have not been back, but plan on it once classes are over this semester.

I might swing down to concord depending on the game nights in CU. Well outside of Concord the game scene is growing to, there has been a recent reinstatement of regular game nights (every Sat) in Toy City of Keene NH with a very active crowd of 40k and fantasy gamers.

Hey im back in Worcester and looking for some hangouts and help re-learning wh40k if anyone is down let me know!

Check out the whiz in Westboro. I know there are at least 5 people from Worcester that play there and they are all good people so I'm sure you'd have some peeps to hang with.

Collectibles Unlimited has been working on getting their 40k and WHF on regularly of late. Tuesday nights is a regular thing, and they do scheduled open play days a lot of weekends (including today). They're also about to do some Store Wars; a friendly inter-shop tournament with Jetpack Comics is coming up.

The Whiz store crew is discussing beginning a map campaign this month or next if anyone is interested. We trying to figure out if Tuesdays or Sundays are better. Keep an eye on the whiz website if interested.

Im going to sign up on the whiz forums and see if anyone would be willing to help a n00b get back into 40k

Jdamaso there are quite a few of us would be more than willing to help you out. Feel free to pm me here or at the same name on the whiz. My name is Steve and were always welcoming to new blood!

There are also gamers from all skill levels so you can definately get games against more beginners or more experienced guys that can teach you the ropes for sure. We play on Tuesdays and like IMack said were probably starting a map based campaign in the middle of April. 15$ buy in with guaranteed games every week.

awesome man ill def be making some plans to get out there. Slapshot got me through a 9 and a half month deployment to crapganistan haha.

We just finished the 6 week campaign that Chance linked above & will start another July 1st if anyone is interested. We had 23 people with 20 regular players. Anyone interested in joining the campaign can meet Tuesday July 1st at the Whiz store at 5:30pm.

This stinks. There's still no FLGSes in Boston proper. :( I don't like that everything is at least an hour away lol.

I hope I'm not necro'ing this thread or anything.
I've recently moved over to NI and am currently based in Greysteel. I've been looking for fellow 40k players for a while, but never thought to check on Dakka!

Is anyone local either here in in Derry who'd be interested in games at some point? I can get into Derry with little problem, and it'd be fun to meet some likeminded people.

I tend to run fluffier lists with hints of Forgeworld here and there, and I lvoe conversions, so I honestly don't mind how we play. It's much more about having fun than winning in my eyes.

For the Concord Area, when and where does the X-wing crowd meet and play? Was at Collectibles Unlimited yesterday and was told there is no X-wing day there.

And how big is the Tues 40K group there and what time do people play? (as they close at 1700 (5:00pm for most of you)

The group at Collectibiles Unlimited is about 6 or 8 reglar players. I have not been for awahile (2 months or so?) because my sons schedule changed a bit and I take him to piano on Tuesday evenings. They do close "officially" at 5pm but if you come on Tuesday evening you can get in and there are people playing. People start showing up around 5pm and games start around 5:30 or so.

Are there any X-wing groups that play anywhere regularly? My last game store (just came home from the Army) has a group that played every Thursday, is there anything like that around here?

The Whiz store in Westborough MA just had an X-wing tournament this past Saturday. Their FB page usually gives more info.

I'm looking for some fellow X-wing and/or Armada players around Concord NH. Mass is to inconvenient as I have a family so I'm hoping to find a group closer. Manchester would work as well as its close enough.

I have seen it played at Game Castle in Londonderry, but not regular. I know some folks at Collectibles Unlimited in Concord play, but again not regular that I know of.
