time to paint details. god my least favorite part. i always end up fizzling out.

got to say these new bases are bitchin. they even come with a 3mm magnet slot. gw really knocking it out of the park lately.

I hear you on the details mate. Painting bolsters is a personal hate for me! Though, those new jumpguys look great! Which base are you using ?

GW Imperial sector.

the one based on the big board they sell.

they are very nice.

also i think all of my decals are getting crusty

they all break and chip even when using micro set and sol.

Urgh that's a pain man. Can you work it into weathering?

Gonna clean it up the hard way. by painting it (and being lazy and using battle damage when i get sick of it

)

its confusing AF. official images show both red and blue eyes... i think i might just redo them as red eyes.

got some final touch ups, power swords and heads to do and 90% of the DI primarus stuff is done.

dunno what i want to write on the banner though.

Awesome work on the primaris, what colour are you planning on doing the swords?

I've never had my decals do that, at least not unless I've been prodding them around for a good 10 minutes with micro sol/set then again I always have to cut them to get them to fit around marine shoulder pads. When they do break up I just cover it over with weathering and damage ... yea I'm lazy.

Swords are going purple

i need to sit down and do it.

the decals are just old. i had to get rid of a bunch that went and yellowed.

that sternguard kit is the best thing for characters.

ugly for sternguard though :(

Welp im 99% finished with dark imperium box for space marines but then forgot to take a picture before putting in my flg cabinet

so here are some tanks instead.

I approve of the thread name. Also, I like your primaris work. Have you considered using a wash on the chest aquilla to give the recesses a bit more definition?

they are actually washed the problem is that the red is also kinda dark (hull red to burnt red only) probably should get the next color of red

also wash them in black instead of brown.

Lovely work on the yellow for the Primaris and regular Fists. Which Tamiya colours (and method) did you use for the Alpha Legion?

All Airbrush with base of VMA Aluminum.
Tamiya Clear Green from the top
Tamiya Clear Blue and Green mixed at 90degrees

then blue from the bottom.

As of right now i got a plan to use a trippy super dangerously toxic paint from taiwan that is the perfect color shifting colors for alpha legion. i cant wait to give it a shot.

i finally settled on a goal. make a 2k army of fully painted primarus only space marines so i can dick around and play while working on a new project. rather than burning out of trying to paint a whole army full of vehicles.

got me a new wet pallet a new brush and a new work light. no pictures atm but i really jammed out yesterday. got all the black joint piping and belts painted. next up is metals.
