I create a literal wall of buildings that have the doors facing me. Only jump infatry, skimmers, flyers, FMCs can get over. I barrage you do death with little recourse. Enjoy!
1850 Unbound:
39x Acolytes (3x guys, Rhino)
I fill the table with 39 Rhinos and proceed to either clog everything with smoldering craters of Rhinos, or I proceed to tank shock/ram your army off the board. Remember, if you fall back because of Tank Shock, but cannot retreat 1" away from my units, you are destroyed. I proceed to crush your army under my treads, quite literally.
Corsair detachment, 14 Warp Hunters and a dual Bright Lance Hornet counters both your lists neatly. Naturally that army will die to flyers so a better force would contain about 50-50 Warp Hunters and Nightwings.
To repeat someone else's statement: feth unbound.
(on the other hand, I welcome psychic phase)

Who wouldn't play it!?  I've also never known Marbo to abide by anyone else's rules, so all these independent character shenanigans clearly don't apply to him. If he's hiding amongst the rank and file does that make him a non-character scoring unit?

Actually, Unbound won't make Wave Serpent spam any more viable than it already is.
Wave Serpents are a unit upgrade, they're completely unrelated to the FoC.

Ah I guess that's true, but it will be much cheaper to take 8 squads of Dire Avengers and no HQ than to start putting elites/ FA in them.

Hmmm.... First off, isn't Marbo a unique character? So you can only take one of him. Doesn't matter no FOC, otherwise you could have fielded him twice in the last codex that brings me to 2. He isn't in the AM codex so can't field him now.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.
Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

Well, if you wanted to expand to 2k points, you could add CREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED and a few more Marbos... The extra Marbos for the extra killing, and Creed to trick your opponent into thinking you brought something other than Marbo that you plan to outflank with.
