Gooood morning. Grabbed a 2xDungeon EB, good to see unlocks already!
re. barrels, I hope they don't waste space with them since they're definitely inferior to other easily available products. Chest, chair, bookcase and tomb all look good!
scarletsquig wrote:Nice, rubber mats just like the Deadzone ones.
Very good choice, those things are great!
Now to see if there's any possible way to use one as a DKQ playmat instead of buggering about with card tiles... I guess I could buy one to cut up, but that would be a shame.
Yeah the mat is a much better idea imo. Rather than cutting up the mat for DKQ, couldn't you lay out the mat out and then use the BS terrain to create the rooms and passageways required by the scenario? That's what I'm hoping to do as card tiles are definitely far less immersive for me.

The mouse mat upturned to it's rubber underside would make an excellent place mat for your DS (or otherwise) tiles. They wouldn't slide as easily, and you'd have a nice black void to imply the filled space between corridors and chambers.
The other thing would work too. I'm thrilled that they're using the DZ style mouse mat, preeety cool. For the longest time I had thought the floor was integrated to the walls somehow but nope, just a floor.

Good idea for using the tiles on the underside of the mat... damn your good ideas! *shakes fist* Had a closer look at all the stuff and I really like the thought that's gone into it again. Reinforced wooden buttresses help to give the impression of being underground and there's a large quantity of doodads that really work to fill out the areas. The textures look very multi-purpose too, could be used anywhere from medieval buildings/castles to fantasy dungeons or sci-fi catacombs. A better "quality" texture like the Dwarven architecture in Moria from LotRO would be nice but it would be far more niche so is a bad option I guess. Versatility is king in this hobby I think. Bring on the stretchgoals! I really hope I don't cave and go in for 4 again, surely 2 is enough for anyone... edit: Not whinging, but damn living on the opposite side of the world from everyone else ; p UK Shipping is included - Rest of World add £20. Strecth Goal #3 unlocked
Stretch Goal #4 at £65,000
Stretch Goal #5 is the Mines of Minerva add on at £75,000
Update #3

… and another one bites the dust…
What nice timing, I get up and have a chance to have breakfast and my all important 'cup o tea' then on queue we hit the next stretch. Wayne has been up since 6am as he has to do the goal images, I'll send you a free clone chamber Wayne ;o)
Well by this time on our last campaign we had just hit our first stretch goal… but now we are on our third and already revealing our first special add-on…
oh yeah, another bookcase too, my personal favourite ) - These three added to your Dungeon Pledge - FREE
THE MINES OF MINERVA…
When we hit this stretch goal this will be unlocked for purchase in the add-ons…
Now that should spawn some fun scenarios )
I had so much fun drawing this one on the graphics tablet, I just wanted that track running through the terrain and to get a corridor set up with the struts and that entrance. I was not sure the scaffolding would work and had to make some adjustments, but when I slotted it together I was sold ) Its a more expensive tool to make, but worth it and if we get some good funding we might even be able to upgrade this one with another bit of track by spending more on the tool )
and theres the tunnel shot D
Skellies climb down from the upper walkways to ambush our brave (or stupid) adventures )
Nope, don't do it… you know its not going to be good in there!
The track is reversible so you can of course turn in any direction and as the scaffolding is free standing and does not rely on the walls for support you really can just stick it anywhere, make it a centre piece and put the prize on top, it's up to you )
We love the mine and so wanted it to be one of the first new add ons, we must achieve this cos I want lots so I can make a big room with multiple entrances and lots of track, lol
Over & out for now, see you back in the comments

Can you just pledge for add-ons, does anyone know? I'd like that mine stuff, but don't really want a dungeon pledge.

Additional items you can buy. To order add-ons make a note of what you want and add the total cost to your pledge. After the Kickstarter ends we will send you our pledge manager and you can tell us which add-ons you chose. Please note that you will need to purchase a minimum of a Dungeon pledge to buy add-ons. Shipping for add-ons is included
I double checked with Wayne and he confirmed minimum pledge of Dungeon needed for add ons.

I got the sci-fi floor tile set from the Games and Gears Kickstarter partially for that purpose. Well, I say "got", but I mean paid for. I'll let you know how that goes sometime in 2015 when they turn up... Automatically Appended Next Post: DaveC wrote:From the KS

I did the exact same thing! Was it the Anime Wars board?
What I'm confused by, is I thought the pieces needed to snap into the board. With this mat, I'm guessing they don't? So will the sci-fi walls look fine on my gaming board without the base tiles?
If so I have some base tiles I'd let go of cheap lol as that's been my plan all along, just wasn't sure if it would work.

The walls only sit on the floor tiles they don't connect to the floor so any floor will work under them. The walls stay in place by connecting to each other just don't give the table a hard knock and they'll stay in place.

The one that's got the Airlock-looking thing. Yeah, Anime Wars. Both for use with the BS scenery and also I figure one or two of them could sit on a table edge to represent a shipping container area on the edge of an undeveloped area of a more traditional 40k-type table (inspired by a Battlefield 1942: Desert Combat Map). Pics when it happens.

That mine looks *nice*. Not sure if I'm still in this because I already have 3D terrain. (I still think you *can* have so much furniture -- my desk certainly says so!
Stonemaier Games finished up a KS with 3D tokens that would fit well with the mines. Product enlarged to show detail, as they say...

fyi, Secret Weapon Miniatures (US) and Dark Art Miniatures ( UK?) will be re-releasing their 3D resin Malice Tombs set. More expensive per piece, of course, but hopefully lower entry point.
The set's unpainted, has fewer pieces, and has no dungeon terrain, so BS is still a much *much* better value for anyone who doesn't already have their dungeon stuff.

I may pull out of BS because I'm not up for spending $140+ on a KS when I already have a ton of dungeon dressing and some Dwarven Forge tiles... :/

I have Dwarven Forge tiles and they are great. I tend to use them for small dungeon crawls or RPGs but I would use Battle Systems more just because of the multiple layers, more customization for floor plans, walkways, etcs. There is a lot more play-ability with Battle Systems and even though Dwarven Forge are modular, they feel static when you compare to Battle Systems. That is my opinion though, I can never have enough terrain. ^_^

Yeah Battle Systems has a lot going for it over resin for me. Multi layers is great, even more modular, pre-painted to a much better standard than I could or would paint resin terrain and collapses down to virtually no space. The storage space is a huge thing too I'm finding as I get more into the hobby -_- GrimDork wrote:Hah the gate is amazing Nice use of corporation marines there too.
rofl well spotted, yeah that gate is indeed a compulsory addon.

It is pretty much a running inside joke. The comments are from backers and stem from the first Kickstarter with the Scifi Battle Systems Terrain. Some wanted stickers to place on the walls and they said they weren't going to do them. There were also some other things that went on and on. I can't remember them all as it was awhile ago and so many kickstarters ago for me.
