Sure thing mate. Its hard to keep at one thing and stay motivated. My attempt at painting my stupidly inumerable Goblin army is entering the third year of the sentence. Almost entirely because I've been procrastinating hard and keeping at least three projects on the go at the same time.

If you really want a break from the marines pick up something totally different. I found that painting my 6mm scale aircraft was such a welcome change. It was so refreshingly different it even enabled me to look at another goblin again!

Hail Brother Astro Wolf!

I haven't checked in to DAKKA for a while, but wanted to see how you're doing. The guys done so far look great!

Man, I'm sure a lot of us have periodic apathy & depression. When I get that way recently, I have a new therapy I try. I get in my car, drive to a slightly secluded spot, park, and then yell:

"CREEEEEEEEED!"

Please note though, in this project so far, you have completed painting 300% as many Space Marines than I have in the last 30 years. (Omg) XD

I usually feel my artwork is not up to my own standards. Bah. I try to remember that I get better with practice. When I go look at a book of the collected work of some cartoon strip artist I like, I can see the art style change drastically and gain sharp focus, just over the course of the first volume. Not being preachy, this is really a thing I do occasionally to help my moodiness.

I hope you don't feel *too* much obligation to us, but now you have fans rooting for you! Think how awesome You will feel to complete this collection and display the Marines en masse! Even getting ten chapters represented will look awesome, and the awesomeness only scales up from there!

Anyway, happy recent birthday, and happy painting!

Hi Guys

Just wanted to report that i am painting again.
I've had a rough time lately with my Mental Health and some things going on in my life.
Main thing is that i recently lost my job so that hasnt helped.

However i was able to recently pick up a paint a marine for the first time in a few months so its a big step for me.

I'll be taking some better pictures tomorrow and posting them up.

Cheers
Phil

Good to see you're trying to get back into the groove. Don't push yourself too hard, and you'll be just fine

Love this blog, just quickly claiming a brazen minotaurs marine and if it's not too much damage could I have him driving a powersword through a chaos marine's chest? Pm sent too. Thanks.

**EDIT I hadn't read the full blog, I really hope you're doing alright now and you're back on your feet in the hobby, apologies if I sounded rude**

Glad to see the Dakka community in full swing here.

I'd deffinately like you to show off one of your own custom chapter here too. I'd like to see it in the mix. Do you have a full back story writen or a dedicated blog already on the go for them?
