I would love to see them stick to the Index format and release yearly, maybe less often after the first few passes. The way GW has done their armybooks in the past is what nearly always lead to the stupid either OP or UP nature of everything. Worse, it meant if something was off it stays off for a LONG time. Going back to the old way of releasing a codex every (random) number of years would be a huge setback IMO.

I would like this. And if they do separate releases of Fluff-dexes to go for each faction alongside the indexes, despite the expense, I would prefer that.

I want a 'what goes bumb in the night' type army. Haemonculi and Mandrakes are the de-facto rulers of Commarragh now with Vect on vacation in his panic realm and Malys off with the Harlequins. So a new army based on the Frankenstein/Shade Daemon theme would be very fun to design and play. Whatever Cthulu-esque things Mr K let out of the Shadow realm to combat the daemons would be a good basis for new models, and Haemonculi already have a pretty scary range. As far as exploring new keywords and themes, this would be my favourite.

Yeah I'm sure that'd be nice for Space Marines and other armies who already have an infinite+1 number of choices, but not so nice for armies that are really limited. It's the equivalent of saying "I got mine so feth everyone else", which isn't exactly a very convincing argument for the "everyone else".

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

I want no releases.

Codex creep doesn't happen when there's no codecies.
Nothing bad can happen if nothing happens at all.
Nothing bad is already happening. No reason to screw it up.

Of course an Eldar player would think that.

The game needs new releases. Maybe Eldar and Marines are fine as they are-- and I really doubt most players would think that-- but there's plenty of other factions that desperately need an update. And that's just rules. There's hundreds of model ranges and in fact entire factions that need new miniatures.

You're kidding... Eldar are hardly fine as they are. The rules are so bad people have called them intentionally bad and Eldar need an update for their models pretty badly.

I have yet to come close to losing with either my eldar or dark eldar

Eldar have a very good reported winrate so far.

Maybe people are calling their army CWE, but are misusing the Ynnari rules to double-tap?

Yup, just allow the rebellion list, however naff, to be game legal, now the little swines can hurt anything on a 6+...

I would buy M2O GorkaMorka grot rebels (and muties and maaybe diggaboyz) so hard. Da Red Gobbo lives!

For other armies I'd say replace the ancient kits like Berzerkers and buggies, convert Finecast into plastic and add a new guard regiment (greatcoats now!) and flesh out newer armies with more releases, but seeing the Primaris pricing I don't want them to touch any older minis that escaped the current pricing levels per mini so far

Looking for a Skaven Doomwheel banner to repair my Nurgle knights.
