Very nice work, are you keeping the ZM pieces modular or gluing them into larger chunks?

Cheers Guardling. I have kept everything modular so far, except the platforms for the most part. But all the walls etc are separate and I have made the platforms in small sections that can be joined together.

I like the idea of it being a big Lego set.

Slight Threadomancy but I wanted to prove I was still alive and, more importantly, still working on my Necromunda stuff.

I haven't been posting regular updates as for the last few months as I have essentially been painting the same thing over, and over, again.....

I didn't get a chance to take many pics, or set everything up but I have now completed:

52 x columns
57 x wall sections
20 x doors
9 x floor tiles
Assorted stairs and floors

I think this adds up to about 3 and a half Dark Uprising sets and has taken way longer than expected but it does mean I (hopefully) won't have to paint any more walls.... The lights alone have driven me insane, lol.

I have also now completed 4 starter gangs (Cawdor, Delaque, Enforcers and Slave Ogryns) but still need to carry on with scenery for now.

It's become apparent that I need a lot more floors and stairs so they will be next....

These are most of the walls.... as I say nothing desperately exciting.... lol.

Nice to see you back, and with a lot to show!
Now you just need to put them together in interesting layouts and sprinkle some gangers on!

Wow, that’s a massive Necromundian wall! Good to see you still about, as Guardling said, hopefully we can get to see your gangers too!

Thanks chaps, I must admit it's a relief to have them finished - the lights have probably been the slowest part and I'm hoping I never have to do any again.... Although I won't know if I have enough sections until i lay it all out but combined with the Sector Mechanicus terrain I'm hoping it will be.

And I will try to get some pics of the table so far and will add the gangs I have completed.

I am just deciding whether to crack on with more terrain or to make a start on a Van Saar gang next.....

Those walls are great, do you have posted here already the various paints that you used?

Cheers.

The wall sections
are as follows:

Undercoat Mechanicus Standard Grey
Agrax Earthshade wash all over (50/50 Agrax/water - but this is the old formulation wash, haven't tried the new ones yet).
Drybrush Mechanicus Standard Grey
Drybrush Dawnstone
Light Drybrush Ushabti Bone

Archways:

Basecoat either Wraithbone or Rakarth Flesh (doesn't really matter which, but either will go over the grey undercoat easily
Re-Basecoat Ushabti Bone
Seraphim Sepia Wash
Drybrush Ushabti Bone
Tidy up inner edges with 50/50 mix Mechanicus Standard Grey/Dryad Bark

Lids/Roofs

Undercoat Vallejo Bone spray or Army painter bone spray (or any bone rattlecan I guess)
Seraphim Sepia wask
Drybrush Ushabti Bone

Metallics (mostly)

Leadbelcher basecoat
Wash Agrax Earthshade/water 50/50
Then wash Seraphim/Sepia/water 50/50 (the amount you thin is dependent on taste - the less water the more aged)

Then everything else is pretty straight forward. The reds are normally Mephiston Red, shaded with Agrax and then highlighted with Evil Sunz Scarlet and the yellows are Averland Sunset, Seraphim Sepia wash and then highlighted Yriel Yellow

The posters are from the GW Necromunda decal sheets and I usually give these a glaze of Seraphim Sepia to get them to blend in better and dirty them up a bit.

This thread is very inspiring, most of my scenery is unpainted but i'll be very happy if mine turn out to be anywhere near as good as yours!

Your painting is so clean, a treat to behold. Good work!

Cheers everyone.

OK, so I finally had time to get all of the scenery out and put it on a a table.

It's fully modular, like Lego, so the layout isn't fixed, I just wanted to see where I was up to and if I needed to add anything else.

I think I now have more than enough Zone Mortalis terrain painted for a 3x3, possibly enough even for a 4x4. I do need to make up some new platforms though as the way I have built the ones I currently have doesn't allow to me to join areas together for multiple levels.

But, otherwise, I think I am finished scenery-wise for a bit so can concentrate on gangs for a bit.

Nice to see you still around!
Terrain looks great, I don't even want to think about painting so much!
Look forward to seeing more gangers from you, the previous ones were pretty sweet

Thanks chaps, I must admit painting all that scenery has driven me a little insane....

I think I will paint up some Van Saar next, just for a bit of colour.
