The yellow stands out, but I actually think the dark blue is more impressive.

Great work on the enforcers, love the red lenses to complement the main colors! May do a little drop of dark shade or contrast paint into the sergeant's eye sockets to give some more depth?

Cheers chaps, I'm really happy with the blue black now, didn't like it initially.

And I agree on the Captain's face, I intend to add some glazes to the face as it's lacking contrast at the moment.

I used Wraithbone primer instead of Corax White by accident and didn't realise. As it's quite glossy it wouldn't take paint in the same way and it meant the flesh basecoat ended up being thicker than intended.

Another tiny update. I have built the 6 Subjugators and made a start on one. I hadn't realised how different they are to the Enforcers until I started painting them.

I also thought I would do the heads early on as well, lol, as the Enforcers looked weird without them for ages.

Still a way to go and I have made some mistakes on this too so will go back and tidy up. But these are quite fun to paint but also a bit fiddly.

Cheers JoeRugby.

Looks like the Subjugators are gonna take waaaay longer than the Enforcers. Didn't realise how much extra stuff they had on them.

Slow progress but test fitted the riot shield and got a little bit more done.

Wow - your blue/grey and yellow black nearly made me gnash my teeth with jealousy! Outstanding work! And I would agree that it has the *right* amount of grime and damage, not an excessive amount. It also does really harken back to classic WD advertisements I used to admire as a young fellow.

Well, it's been a while since I picked up a paint brush. Unfortunately my job has been super busy due to the pandemic (I manage health and safety in a medical research building so it's been pretty full on) which has left very little time for hobby.

Because I'm still feeling very rusty I wanted to start something different so have made a start on some Delaques. These probably weren't the best models to start with after a long break as they are actually way more fiddly than they first seem.

I also wanted to have a play around with the contrast paints as I hadn't really had much use out of them.

Not overly happy with them so far, but they are still very WIP. I think the biggest issue was the white undercoat - Corax White on a cold day does not come out smooth, and on one or two of the models it's really grainy. However, the experiment using contrast paints on their leather coats has, I think, worked. I wanted an aged leather effect and I think it's not bad.

But it is good to be painting again but I think I will go back to scenery for now just to get back into it a bit and have fun drybrushing.

Honestly I thought "cool aged leather effect" before I read that this is a undercoat bug & not a feature, so, not bad at all!

Cheers chaps.

I have now finished the Delaques but the camera on my phone is terrible and in all the photos I took they didn't look any different, lol.

I am going to start on some Slave Ogryns next. I really should be doing more scenery but the Ogryns are an itch I want to scratch.

Will try and get some pics soon.

Wow, the colour choices here are amazing.

I love the blue-greys and yellows on the terrain, and the Arbites. But then the sinister palette for the Delaques is coherent but clearly different. When you have it all done it is going to look fantastic.

Thanks Da Boss. I'm enjoying painting up Necromunda stuff as it's a lovely break from Ultramarines but also because you can paint 5-10 models and move onto something else.

I've made a start on the Slave Ogryns. These are a lot of fun to paint.

Very WIP and apologies for potato cam pics, lol.

Love everything. So crisp and clean. I go a little dirtier with my stuff but mostly to help cover my mistakes. But love your painting style. Can’t wait to see more.

Cool Ogryns, they look like a fun box of minis, even if the options are a bit limited from what I hear

That’s a great yellow you’ve got on the power fist. Lovely weathering with the paint being rubbed off on the red stripe

Great work on the Ogryns - skin looks particularly gorgeous. I too look forward to seeing them all finished up

I may just have to pick this lot up, despite my pre-existing collection!

Thanks for sharing

Thanks everybody, I am enjoying painting the yellow which I never thought I would say. The downside is it's making me think about starting an Imperial Fists army.... noooo....

And cheers with regards to the skin, it's the bit I actually enjoy painting the most so usually leave it until last but wanted to get a couple of testers done.

So most of the skin on these is still WIP.

I thought I would have had these finished by now but I haven't managed to get as much painting done recently due to work.

So some more WIP pics - I hope to at least have their arms on by the end of the weekend.... lol.

Beautiful yellows and fleshes. Very warm against your cool base, great composition.

Cheers chaps, I must admit the composition between bases and warm tones was purely accidental but I will now say it was planned...

And I wish now I had maybe added more red in but I will wait to see what they look like when the welders go on.

I have to admit I've enjoyed painting yellow and am now suppressing the urge to start a new Space Marine army.....

Well, despite not updating this thread for a while I have actually managed to get some painting done.

I now have enough terrain painted to fill 3 tiles, or 4 if I add scatter. The plan is to get 9 tiles done with at least 2 levels, but hopefully 3 so I still have a way to go yet.

I also managed to paint up a Cawdor gang too, and finish the other gangs to starter level, which means I have starter gangs for Cawdor, Delaque, Enforcers and Ogryns.

The Cawdor gang was another contrast paint / speed paint experiment. I think it worked but it taught me that I hate painting brown, I hate painting Cawdor and I still haven't quite mastered either Contrast paints or glazing....

I'm happy enough with them but I might go back later and make some changes.

Very nice work, are you keeping the ZM pieces modular or gluing them into larger chunks?
