Maddening Mutant Boss of Chaos

I'd definitely put Dark Future at the top of my list.
More generally, I do wonder whether it will be another year or so before boardgames look like promising prospects, from the point of view of a miniatures/gaming company like GW. In countries like the US, at least, it will be some time before I game live in the same room with my gaming buddies. I do foresee continuing to buy new 40k kits to model and paint and so on over the next year to feed my gaming/hobby habit -- largely out of momentum (I'm already deeply invested, in terms of both $ and imagination, in the grim distance of the far future), and because I can do this at home by myself.
But I don't see myself doing as much in-person or in-store gaming for the foreseeable future. And accordingly, I doubt I will be making as many boardgame purchases as I normally do -- presumably for a period as long as the next year or two. From GW's perspective (and possibly from the perspective of certain other companies), it might make more sense to hold off on launching a new miniatures boardgame line (e.g., a project on the scale of a venture of, say, Warcry) until late 2021-22. Just from the perspective of resource allocation v. revenue, I mean.
Or maybe this fear is country-specific to the US, where the curve ain't flattening for some time to come.

I miss the 90's "solid content" of most of their board games.
I always wondered what finally came of that kickstarter.

I'm constantly amazed by the amount of people that love Epic and still play but don't know anything about Vanguard miniatures, Onslaught etc. and the host of other companies making miniatures compatible with that game.
I have loads of Vanguard stuff waiting to be painted. Lovely creations. I would vote for epic to return, but I would cringe if GW released great plastics that were out of scale to my vanguard collection. I'm too picky about stuff matching.

Of course another vote for Epic, I loved that game and it made so much sense to play large battles in that scale then move to 40K for raids and small actions.
I would also like to see Warhammer Historical return, Warhammer Ancient Battles and Warmaster Ancients. I still play both regularly but it is difficult to get new players when the supplements are in such short supply.
PS also the Decipher Lord of the Rings Trading Card Game, it was much better than the FFG one.

Yes me too.. I've actually been quite fortunate, of all the KS's I have backed over the years, think that's the only way that failed totally and didn't produce anything.

Mongoose's Starship Troopers. Does War of the Ring count? I never got to try it and considering I love the LotR system as well as rank-and-file I'd not complain about it rearing it's head again.

That was one of the best TCGs ever made before they came out with the Shadows block and changed the formula somewhat. The first 10 sets are great, but too much changed with the later ones and they're hard to find nowadays.
Another old game I kind of miss is the WotC Star Wars Miniatures game. The rules were a bit simplistic but it was a fun little game and there were a pretty good variety of miniatures to collect (even a lot of stuff from what is now the Legends universe).

Epic: Space marine.
Still play it to this day.
The player count isn’t great though sadly.
3rd party models and now 3D printers have helped bring more people to it, but it’s still not a big game sadly.
Just a game that’s really enjoyable to play, no huge excess of rules but enough to keep tactics involved heavily.
Also, epic armies look amazing painted up on the table.

Loved Epic it was the first GW game I got into.
It just needed some paring down of the crazy rules especially for Orks and Eldar. Yeah I get it, the orks have dragsters that shoot bubbles are you, ha-ha. We don't need special rules and bubble templates for that.
But yeah a lot of great mechanism with the Companies and Detachments, the orders, and alternating phases.

Seriously, what old game - doesn't have to be by GW - would you jump at the chance to own? Was it a game you missed out on, or was it one where you owned it many moons ago but was so cruely parted from? Was your obsession to have a copy of the game so great that you even tried to make your own version from scratch?
Dark Age from CMoN. Solid sculpts, great rules, and lore worth a damn. Just didn't get any traction.

It isn't a game, per say, but it would still be a reprint - when I was first getting into the hobby back in the dark depths of 1996, White Dwarf was going through its "Fat Dwarf" phase, with the card inserts.
One of the major uses for those inserts was for a Space Hulk campaign - one of two or three they published a scenario a month for, alongside new tiles (and air ducts!).
I'd love to see those campaigns revised for the current rules, and released as a box featuring a campaign booklet and the tiles produced in the "right" sort of card stock to fit with the main game.

In terms of adding old games noone has heard of, I submit Chaos Marauders. A rather fun card drawing and set creation game by GW in the age of oi dats my leg. Apologies if I missed this contribution elsewhere in the thread. I did have a look.
Unfortunately it didn't come with a dedicated soundtrack cassette

Epic 40,000 from GW for sure.
The Legend of the Five Rings CCG from AEG would be amazing as well. FFG picked up the L5R license and has done alright with it, but the design 'team' is one guy who seems to have lost his mojo and FFG doesn't put enough support behind it so the game is beginning to falter. Very sad.

Epic definitely makes a lot of sense once a 40K player gets into Apocalypse size games, and practically we do need Epic 40K back on the tables. Still can't believe the 40K Warlord is actually a thing...
In other news, there's been some good suggestions here.

I've been getting into Man o War lately and finding all the cardboard parts has been a pain. Of course, if it were reprinted with modern design standards, it would also be scaled up by twice at least...

Honestly Battlefleet Gothic deserves to be updated. To me it's the best Specialist Games box set GW has ever done.
Outside of GW? The Discworld Ankh-Morpork game would be great.

Epic Armageddon rather than Epic 40,000, please and thank you - though with all the core army lists ready at time of launch, rather than asking the community to develop them for you.
