Been watching some streams and the jank is strong with this one. Streum On staying very much on brand here.
Apparently controls are doodoo on console so might want to wait for some patches there.
Edit: Yeah, this definitely could have done with a bit more time in the oven, but with a few updates this looks like a fun time. Level design is kinda amazing.

Had to tweak some things as I played, mouse sensitivity, mouse sensitivity when ADS and switch off motion blur to get into it proper, but it's fun so far. Quite rough around some edges, some voices are indeed really muffled and the targeting with the dog is a bit finnicky, but the gunplay is such a massive step up from Deathwing, the locations show so far are amazing (first level has a place where they sandcast massive iron skulls! ) and the voice cast is on point, I think they've once again recruited from BL's stable of voice actors for this one.
Combat feels a bit wonky sometimes, after I've reloaded my gun ADS needs a second click to kick in again for some reason, but the kill animations are suitably over the top however and have a nice variety to them so you don't see the same knife-goes-in-guts-come-out execution every time.
IIRC there was mention of 13 missions / maps with a lot of exploring going on, hunting down chests with items and whatnot. I know I missed four of the five chests on the first map.
Maps can be replayed / revisited with unlocks and upgrades intact, a fun way to retrace steps, hunt for treasure and give new weapons a spin.
Found some really fun weapons to mess around with, an auto pistol with a drum mag that I just had to slap a suppressor onto (rule of cool), along with a pump-action shotgun that has a beta mag so you don't need to reload in a hurry.
Hah. This is very much a game of blinking lights. The console controls do feel pretty loose and twitchy. The stun gun with scope jumps around weirdly such that I don’t seem
To actually be able to snipe with it
However, the dog is cute and the squeaky toy is ace. And everyone seems to be from Yorkshire...

With that said, we’re aware of several technical issues that need to be resolved. We want to assure you we’re working our hardest to fix these as soon as possible. Please read on for more details about what exactly we’re working on and prioritizing.
Gamepad controls on PC: The aim assist is currently not working as it should, and there are issues with the sensitivity settings. We’re already finding fixes to these issues and should have these fixed for you in our first update.
Performance and stuttering: We’ve seen your reports on this issue, including from higher end PCs. While this is definitely a priority for us, fixing this may come gradually across more than one update, since it is an unexpected and complex problem to solve.
Crashes: We’ve already identified and fixed a number of issues, and are doing our best to get these into an update soon. More fixes on this front will follow.
Sound Mixing: We’ve identified a fix, though it’s proving a time-consuming process. That said, we have already made improvements for our next update.
Here is the full list of fixes that will arrive in our first update:
A large number of crash fixes (Create/load saves, etc.)
Dialogue sound mixing improvements (global VO volume increased)
Added missing sound FXs in levels
Takedown tutorial bug fix which caused you to get stuck
Gamma settings screen game freeze
A fix for the 'Who needs weapons' achievement
Fixes for animations in some cutscenes
Aiming down sights: incorrect aiming fixed
FOV bug when aiming down sights
Additional issues that we are currently working on. They have not been fixed at the time of writing, but some improvements listed below may still make it into this early patch.
Gamepad: Aim Assist system fixed
Sensitivity and dead zone settings (bug fix)
Stutters (enemy spawns, LODs, loot management, asynchronous loading)
Dialogue sound mixing in cutscenes (fine tuning)
Various fixes on enemy AIs
We don’t have an exact ETA on when the update will arrive yet, but it will be as soon as possible and we will keep you informed.
Current review scores are Mostly Positive, which is a massive step up from the Mixed it was at launch yesterday.
I remember some games that started with Mixed ratings, only to go up to Very Positive in time. Call me overly hopeful, but it might be worth waiting a few days.
In the meantime, it’s good to hear communication about addressing some of the bugs this early on.
Faithful... Enlightened... Ambitious... Brethren... WE NEED A NEW DRIVER! THIS ONE IS DEAD!
Anyone thinking of getting the PS5 version might want to hold fire. Some reviews coming through saying it is atrocious and even suggesting it should not have been put on sale, as there are so many bugs and desperately needs some heavy patching (Pushsquare gave it 3/10...)
Bought it on the Xbox one, and it generally handles quite nicely - except that the text in the upgrade screens appears to be in 240x320, asked is totally unreadable. The run and gun feels just fine!
You will find below the main fixes that this patch is bringing:
Audio
Dialogue sound mixing improvements (global VO volume increased)
Added missing sound FXs in levels
Bug fixes
Fix a possible blocker during the Takedown tutorial
Fix of a random bug causing an incorrect offset in aiming alignment
Fix of Numpad keys triggering unexpected behaviours ingame
Invert camera setting doesn't apply on the wheel selection anymore
Fix of a bug when opening a menu while Strengh Booster is still active
Various fixes
Gamepad
Rework of the Aim Assist when the player switch to iron sight
Stuttering, FPS issues and other bugs mentioned are still being worked on.
Decided to fully upgrade myself first by playing a crapton of sidejobs first, some of them are a bit tedious when it comes to spawning certain enemies, whilst others you can just breeze through ignoring everybody, but overall a great way to save up scratch for upgrades and better guns. Upgrading everything is worth it however, especially with all cooldowns slashed by half. I'm not saying I'm spamming the Perfect Aim module, but wall-running and blasting away with it activated is an awesome thing to do.
