I asked the same question before. I believe that's te announce from last year. I don't think they've posted about this one yet.

The announcement in the link was to last years price rise- 28th of May.

But if that is true then maybe the changes will not take effect on monday, but at a later date perhaps (in june, probably).

GW management needs to make up their minds.

If the GW game system is truly just for hobbyists / casual gamers, then they need to lower prices down to a level that hobbyists will bother with. Otherwise, the competitors will just eat them alive.

If the GW game system is for people who like competition then they need to fix the rule system to be air tight, bring back prize support and generally support the competitive scene. The amount of confusion around even simple things is amazing.

The current tactics made up of high prices, ignoring customers, competition (that's growing) with similar (or better) quality figs, and a rule system that has more holes than the titanic equals a company that will start posting fairly large losses this year because that combination just doesn't work anymore.

Got my WD today, no mention of 6th (gaah) but also NO MENTION of the price hike... nothing! they just took the prices out of the magazine all together.

They took prices out of the magazine a year, maybe two ago.

no in the UK they had put them back in, they are just hiding the price increase on the new releases and the things advertised inside (raven and scenery are in there)

I can honestly say after my Lizardmen are done, I am 100% moving on to other gaming systems.

That is my question too. Why is GW not posting it? They have always posted that there is a price increase.

*sigh* I've posted about this in this thread before... Everyone was just freaking out because you could find it via google... it's gone now probably because someone at GW learned how to use the internet and realized, "OH FETH! This probably is causing people to freak out, we better learn how to use Internet Explorer and remove it."

I just assumed at this point the only customers they cared about were 12-year-old boys with loaded parents...and only for that first big purchase. Personally I don't even think the extremely wealthy would see the value in Warhammer models. Surely even they would look at the $75 land raider and think "...really? For that? I still can't for the life of me figure out why the "battlefield accessories" had to go up in price by 40%. Isn't that set a pathetic little offering of plastic barrels basically? *goes to check*...lol, holy gak it is. This is what your $20 is going to get you, 3 barrels, 4 tank traps, and a couple of boxes. I almost literally laughed out loud at that, I couldn't tell a better joke if I tried.

By claiming both,at different times, they can set the highest prices by leap frogging between the 2 demographics.

Just got off the phone to GW Cardiff. Apparently the price increase, whilst coming, does NOT take effect from the 28th- at least in the UK.

Nice chap, apologetic that one was coming, and very helpful; I would assume its legit information.

As a share holder I demand profit now.
