well...childe... for once... peter cushing is my old fashioned favorite personification of sherlock...
but the new version done by downey jr. and cumberpatch i like for their anto social behavior... something the older version in films didn´t show...but i like these... the quasi autistic ways of the bbc sherlock version i really find interesting and his nastyness... yetserday as i stated we watched the baskerville episode...where he even experimented with his "friend" watson... that is telling you something^^... also i think his as you stated quasi phallus (lol) character is something i like quite much... and beside the fact that i define myself as a mostly (well mostly as who knows what the road ahead might bring up...) hetero guy... but i think cumberpatch oozes a certain kind of sexyness i am not afraid to say even i can feel... that man has a certain something... for once i am not jealous of a better looking man than me but i can understand his success...
and soon there will be yet another installment of this great character... set in the victorian area but this time with a twist as watson will be played by lucy liu... well we´ll see how that will develop soon i guess...

yeah I do agree with that tbh... seemed a little too much "Gaius is Jesus" and "Adama is Zeus" which irked me... don't get me wrong, I love it when people try and attempt new takes on old ideas, but that was a little too much.
