I don't know if the character is actually that way inclined, but a Seneschal is somewhere between a maitre de, a first mate, an intelligence officer, financial advisor and the scariest bastard on the ship bar none, so the joke was more at his expense that he must be nice on formal occasions.

In all fairness, I actually got a very good impression of the character leaning "that way", and that isn't a problem with me.

Well, depending on which of the Astartes he spends time near he might get trolled by TS, or drop kicked by Karak/Julius. Not sure how Ezra's/Swamp's leader would react to him.

...Why in the butt? I can understand kicking him there, but I'm not sure why Selka deserves being shot in that particular place.

And I ought to point out he's not innately disrespectful, just really rude to people he thinks are inept. He sees the whole PDF and Fairfax as rich boys playing soldiers, and he's quite possibly right.

He needs to be careful how he talks to the Marines. They won't tolerate disrespect like a PDF trooper might. He might find himself getting snapped like a twig if he's not careful.

That is on the assumption Fairfax lets him speak to the marines. I certainly wouldn't.

And of course he's Commissariat bred, so not entirely without diplomacy. In theory.

Actually, mine weirdly enough will. they have a massive respect for humanity, with the whole "used to be guard thing" they got going on. sullac would probably just scold him for being an ass, and Benkee would insult him right the hell back.

I can just picture Edward fitting an actual muzzle, or shooting the commissar himself out of acute embarrassment.

Really enjoying having caught up enough to read the posts as they come out. Liking the latest one especially. Hoping when I get home, it ought to coincide with the Sovereign catching up with the crusade. At the moment I'm using the character interactions to give an idea of who you'd be dealing with, as there's a less spaced out back history.

Though RighteousRob, I think your spellcheck has done you a disservice, as I very much doubt your Chaplaib has most of his body replaced with arguments.
