I like MaxMini's stuff and now I can make my own Birdman and Avenger minis.

Number 4 and 5 from the left are the best IMHO. The others just don't do it for me.

I'm increasingly amazed at the quality of 3D printing.

Followers of the Lord of Change? Looking all avian, they would suit as an Honour Guard or something similar.

I keep watching the stuff Maxmini and Scribor are putting out and it keeps impressing me and raising the bar for all Mini producers.

I hope you keep all of them. I think they all are great (if for different things). And I REALLY like the Chokobo Knight one.

They would be good for an Amazon Blood Bowl team.

The second one from the right would look awesome on the Knights Griffon Order for the Empire in WHFB.

@Piousman : the only models I could use for such comparison are Pulp City models, will that work for you ?

Those are designed to be 28mm "heroic" human sized , so they should work for regular human infantry/cavalry. IMO they may be a tad too big for delicate models like dark eldar.

Wasn't there a weird looking avian helmet wearing guard regiment pictured in the 3rd edition guard codex? They were from a feral world, and looked pretty neat. If you wanted to have a unique looking guard army, these would fit the bill.

Yeah, I have an entire Eldar army that will be wearing those if they fit.

As the painting of Goblin Pirates Heads has been taking a tad too long I've slapped the paint myself - and here they are:

I've decided which Steel Crow Tribe helmets won't be part of the set. It was difficult decision as I like all of them, but in the end the ones on the sides had to go. I especially regret the right one - it kinda reminds me some of the he-man designs.
The deciding factors were production/assembly related. The one with flowing hair on the back would be difficult to add on an existing model, while the plain one (the one on the right) printed with an error on top.

The goblin heads look really characterful and would look great on flash git ammo runts. Also can't wait to see what that teaser picture is!

Cute nectarprime... but they don't really work as marine heads as you can see the actual head under the helmet. As dark eldar or something like that... they'd be great though.

The jaws strike me as being more human though. Make good necromunger hangers though.

Hehe, they look awesome. I shall have to pick some up for when I expand my rebel grot mob!

I see those bird heads and think to myself: I could really save myself some time pinning my metal swooping hawks if I got those heads, some scourge/dire avengers/guardian bits and kitbash out some custom swooping hawks. They look a whole lot more dynamic than the current swooping hawks (and the plastic/resin combination will also help it balance - too many vanguard veteran flashbacks).
