My question is could the "god" of the blood aingels turn evil?

Sorry if im calling him something wrong i haven really read much DA fluff.

I play a howling griffons jump pac army and i was wondering if he or "it" could be turned.

I honestly love the model and am thinking of using my old models with the DA codex
but still be chaose.

Blah in summary: could The Sanguinor, Exemplar of the Host be turned to chaos or his equivlent so i could use him and
his command squad in my howling griffons army or should i get the DA Codex and use it for my army.

The Sanguinor is supposed to be the ghost of Sanguinius or some other pure manifestation of the Blood Angels' essence.

It's pure Warp-energy. It's already a daemon, so it can't 'fall'.

But in that case would it fight for chaos, ive always felt it would not be much of a fall

I actually think the BA would be one of the most ardently loyal chapters, given that whole 'scarred for life due to their primarch giving the ultimate sacrifice to destroy chaos and its champion in the name of the holy and immortal Emperor' and all that.

There are Inquisitors and Death Company being simultaneously dispatched to your house right now!
How could you suggest such a thing?!?

But seriously, you should use it in your army, just change the name of all the powers and go crazy with a whole new kind of demon prince

merely being warp, or from the warp doesn't mean its a 'daemon' - the warp at one point was 'neutral' which means there were good aspects along with the bad; so if 'evil' warp spirits can be daemons, then 'good' warp spirits are angels

When I saw the fluff for that thing my first thought was 'hang on, I thought they'd already been tricked by a greater daemon once already...'

I always thought o him as a manifestation of Sanguinius.

The naysayers fail to see that power nipples = slaanesh.. The Sanguinor is the architect of the BA's fall to chaos.

Regardless of who's side he's on, or what he's in, I'm sure the Grey Knights would be more than happy to utterly destroy the Sanguinor on first sight. Everything about him screams chaotic taint.

That's like saying that the Emperor's spirit is chaos aligned because it is made of the same warp stuff as the chaos gods. No.

Gork and Mork are established as being on the same 'type' of being as the four Gods, just different in other aspects. Like no interest in the Game played for power and territory. Ditto for the eldar gods. Isha is known to be a captive of Nurgle and I think there was some reference somewhere to Gork and Mork getting into a fight with Khorne.

Model-wise, I guess it wouldn't be that hard to change that Iron Halo into an eight-pointed star.

It's been said that not every being that comes from the warp is malevolent. That being said however, enough of them are to justify the assumption.

It's frustrating because there's no evidence to support any theory of what the Sanguinor is. I'd like to think that it's a psychic construct of the Blood Angels collective love of their primarch. It's the warm and fuzzy version of what it could be and given how the Blood Angels have kicked total ass for as long as they have, regardless of the Flaw, I'd like to think on the positive side of things.

Regardless, when the thing shows up the Blood Angels turn into super-saiyans and facerape anything they're fighting, so it can't be entirely bad.

Thanks to the new daemons codex, it seems even a grey knight can fall ^^

My theory on the sanguinator is that he is Sanguinious's psychic will leaving his body to help his sons and its a sign of his recovery. Kind of like guilliman and The Lions recovery from there wounds. After readying what the primary's are capable of in the HH series would think its possible. Pretty much if you don't cut off a primary's head or annihilate his body he can recover and Sanguinious had significant psychic power

The emotions, feelings, and thoughts of beings in the material universe all have parallels in the Warp. This can include positive or "good" reflections such as honor, dignity, beauty, grace, etc. It's entirely possible that the Sanguinor is a manifestation of the Blood Angels' personalities and thoughts. Though Daemons come from the Warp, I don't think that means that every being that comes from it is a Daemon. It's just as likely there may be beings that would be defined better as being "Angels".
