I like the fulgrim-esque tail, but I agree with the earlier sentiment that the other head would've been better. If you like that particular head though go for it. I don't really sense a lot of tyranid in this (the claws match perfectly with the daemonettes, the tail with fulgrims daemon prince form), but maybe the color is a bit hive fleet leviathan:

Perhaps removing the tail spikes would look it more like a serpent than a Trygon.
Trouble is, you might miss them when they're gone.

I'm glad you like it. The model s not finished yet.

The bitz come from several models:

Hooves of the giant
bracelets of Orc sprue
additional horns of the Ogre's standard
shields of the old warriors of Chaos
standard of Bloodletters of Khorne

And now the Masque. I was looking for a more dynamic model to emphasize the dance. I then selected Jain Zar from Eldar as base model. More photos here:

Ahhh you have the old style daemonettes, those ones are much better then the new ones.

Anyway I rather like the look of your army, I think the trouble with the first one was that the armor plates along the tail make it look a little bulky whereas a slaansh unit needs to look more slim and slinky.

I have to say taht your coloring is nice and clean which works good for slaansh but sort of lacks detail a little. The straight clean, bright pinks and whites just don't provide enough shadows and such.

All in all I like it quite a bit though, keep going. b^.^d

@ blak43. The armor plates along the tail of my Keeper? I had to hide the junction. The painting is in progress. I know, I'm terrible with brush.
