The feudal Japan set is much better then the western one. The heroes are much more interesting. They have WAY more replayability as they each have their own deck of cards, whether it be spells, fighting styles, assasin clans, or samurai tactics.

You capture the undead vibe really well with the colours on those models.

Though guards may sleep and ships may lay at anchor, our foes know full well that big guns never tire.

Thanks! I've been pleased with the process and how quickly they've been coming together. I only have a handful of groups left to paint for Shadows of Brimstone. Hopefully they'll be just as nice.

More shadows of brimstone models. Nagas, robots, turrets, trees, and an assassin. These are still WIP but very close to being done. We have actually been enjoying shadows so much that I started streaming our games on our twitch channel. We play every Thursday. If you want to stop by and chat if be great to see you. I put a link in my profile.

After this batch is completed I'll only have 4 units remaining to complete in my Shadows collection and that, to me, is fantastic. I so rarely complete projects, the fact that I've accomplished this much really makes me happy.

Wasteland warriors, undead astronauts, magma monsters, and undead mexican soldiers. What a weird collection for one game? I love it.

It is complete. My Shadows of Brimstone collection is fully painted. They were done very quickly but turned out surprisingly well. The game is so much more fun to play with fully painted minis. Some day down the road I'll have some more kick starter models to do but for now I can say I finished a thing.

Next on my list is to add to this collection.

This is a shot of my Age of Sigmar models that have been finished. I have many more that are primed and ready to go. I plan on painting them to a higher standard then my shadows of brimstone models. I tried some techniques on the shadows to help give me some practice for these guys. Everything is in the Forces of Order. I'll be making them from the realm of Ulgu. It's going to be fun.

Thanks, I appreciate it. Yesterday I grabbed my Fyreslayers to start with. I have some experimenting to do but I'll share more as I figure it out.

WIP on some AOS fyreslayers. The variety of skin types was all part of my experimentation stage. The other units will be a bit more uniform in that regard. I need a name for my lodge. From the realm of shadow, Ulgu. The front row is mostly finished, just touch ups. Any suggestions?

Happy New Year everybody!

Anyone have any hobby goals for 2021?

Good call CommissarKhaine. I have gotten WAY more accomplished by having a set time to hobby. I wish you the best of luck getting yours to be a habit.

Thanks Crowe. I have really enjoyed the results. I can't say I'm sold on the metallic bits yet but I'm pleased with the hair.

Very Aztec/tropical looking scheme, i dig it. I think the icey bases are a little at odds with that though lol.

my 2021 hobby goals are pretty low. Do anything.

Lol, good call Whale.

I'm kinda married to the ice board motif though. Perhaps we can call it an ash field?

Maybe the metal is too close to the skin tone so it doesn't help the eye make sense of the mini quickly.

You could maybe go for a silver with a little blue ink in the recesses. Or maybe it's a dark blue layer overbrushed with silver. Either way the effect would be a colder metallic tone and less like the skin tones.

No hopes of a "Savage Land" rainforest with dinosaurs and stuff in the middle of the arctic? If the X-men can do it, so can you!

I did just that Crowe. Pics will soon follow but it does look nicer. I went with a lead Belcher, then a blue wash, followed by a mithril silver dry brush. Thank you for the suggestion!
