Like the tank, don't like the rivits though, why didn't you use some plastic rods? I bought those kurganova sisters too, although i hused the huge sword/gun option

Ah, you see, the tank is a homage to the old days and rivets were used aplenty back then. Hence also I am in the "League of Exrtraordinary Riveters where we try all manner of rivet concepts. PVA glue leaves a "round-head" rivet style, plastic rods another. I was going for a sensible feel with the swords and not using the ridiculously enormous blade, and the sword is looking as if she is sweeping it in an arc with the smaller one.

@Vik: Thanks Vik! You know it only works with the squiggly black lines! LOL! I still have plenty of what I need to make me some mud for this one!

Oh yeah, though smaller access ways, they are for the crew, not for soldiers assaulting out! Per 6th ed rules, the transport will have the "Assault platform" rule or whatever they call that special rule. It also helps having seen the sponsons in WW-I films that showed access hatches/doors on them, some under them. LOL!

dsteingass wrote:Glue rivets are Shas's "thing"..and he is quite good at them!

@Dave: Thanks Dave! I do use other "rivets" but the glue ones are the only ones that give the rounded look that were so iconic back in the early 20th century, and for a culture that fell backwards tech wise.

some under them
makes perfect sense to me... you wouldn´t want a super duper tank and sit inside and then someone comes knocking at the sides doors... would bother me no end as a crew man... so having the doors where no one can see then witout even trying... that is forward...er..."under"standing

Khadrovian construction methods always use the best of and between the most tried and true rivets to super welds. We use only the finest materials known to humankind!

Bad shoulder kept me from working as well as too high a bloodthinner level.

True, had to stay away from the x-acto blades just in case, my blood was looking rather thin in the sample tube,,almost orange as ti was so watery!

Got better eating Vitamin K rich foods, andf not taking the pills for 4 days, now back to 10mg not 12.5mg a day. Hopefully they will get the balance right.

This will be less scary for Vik to see! I had all of these links for treads and a big cog left over from the Gatler monster, and decided to see what I could come up with, and decided suddenly for a small vehicle compared to all these big tanks. I cut tubes so I would have "wheels" to help glue the treads in to shape.

More on that later, hint: It will be zipping at speeds over the battle tables once done and I get to play with it.

On another note, I decaled and muddied up that tractor at last!

I always liked the Cobra H.I.S.S, even though it is the most impractical design...

good to see up and about shaso!... and true... that halftrack- somethin´ you´re currently brewing up looks not like a gift of papa nurgle in any way! splendidly promising i say!

only question i have... will it be imperial or orky? could go either way atm

and the transport and the traktor both looks very cool... you just have to love the outside sitting crewmembers...and all that mud... man... how long do we have to wait for a little terrain building extravaganca that ties into all those muddy tanks??

at dave... oh... never saw that before but then again here in europe G.I Joe never was that big as in the states i think...

Ah, the HISS tank, low cost, high tech, high riding target, but so iconic! But snowmobiles were more the inspiration for my little sub project.!

Thanks Vik, some muddy, battle scarred terrain will be a hella good project for me to work on one day.

I have new imagery, maybe that will clear or deepen the mystery of the halftrack? I will let the beholders decide based on the latest pics

It's a good thing neither GI Joe or Cobra could shoot straight in the cartoon , otherwise that unarmored turret might have been a favorite of snipers

But I think it inspired slightly the old Razorback turret

Marines should ride bicycles into combat as far as I'm concerned.

From Codex: Dave's Space Marines:
Wargear: slingshots with 20 rounds of breakfast cereal ammuntion per game.

A Space Marine tactical squad may be mounted on bicycles for an additional 2000 points each.

That is the only way I see to knock them down a notch to be competitive

hmmm.... if i have to bet... i bet atm it will be of orky origin... tho that is not a statement of mine to belittle your work here by no means! i really like it... but the kind of propulsions seems to be mostly based on wishfull thinking as orky stuff does

and i have no idea where this might end... suspense... i tell ya!!!

and dave... we need to read more of that dave´s codex for marines! i love it! it really cracked me up!^^
