Colorblind mold operator I guess.
I think there are probably smaller parts on the same sprue that are similar, so they mold different colors to make sure widget 12 goes where it's supposed to instead of widget 21.

Actually, it is quite common in Bandai mold making to make colored plastic for the areas where the paint would go of that color, so that some bulders who do not wish to paint just have to do a wash or inking of the detail lines and vents, then add decals, or, to have a base color for paint to go onto as they have the primerless needed specialty paints from the company Gunze-Sangyo, they even made Yamato 2199 named and themed paints as well. I tried some years ago, it has a feel of plastic inliquid form rather than paint as normal paint, water soluable but weird stuff.

Now, I am working on the Gamilon Battleship Lots of small sensor fins to glue on it, but first the stages and sections of construction

Hence the "Earth ships are crazy!" title add on. The other set has some in simpler red and gray colors, this set was the loudest in colors. Gamilons use more military colors as I think the UNCN is also responsible for more than defense, like rescues so they have the bright colors for easy sighting by those stranded and in need of a rescue tow or pick up from a crash site.

Yeah, really brings out the details.

I like the destroyers as far as the models go.
The bright ones remind me of the Wipeout crafts, which is not a bad thing.

Yeah, the inking of the recesses really helped add the details for all my ships, so, cheery colors make for ease of both rescue and spotting targets.

You mean the Gamilon Destroyers? so shark like they are.

Cruiser of Earth is about their size, they are big destroyers, no? Also packed with more weapons than the bright cruiser

And as can be seen my paint supply drop, which allowed me to darken the wash and also blacken the torpedo launchers on the Gamilon ships. More paint to come for those ships

Yarp, those ones. Yeah they are shark-like, also not a bad thing.

It's the bright primary colours on the others that remind me of Wipeout though. I love those games.

Wipeout 2048, I am sure may have been inspired by anime space ships as the originals of all of these models I am making were from the 1970's version of Starblazers, LOL!

I have sharks with frikkin' lasers!

@Dave, Thanks! All of this is like a revamp of my youth. I was in early high school when I caught shows like these ships come from in New York in the early 1980/1981. It was a big thing for me I can tell you.
