how do you get those dark recesses? specially i think on yellow and white these would be tricky...?

and i still think you need a cool base design for these...

I use a technique I leaned for building model airplane kits years ago, fine brush, or one really thinned out one, and ink wash applied capillary action to the panel lines maybe guide the ink a bit, but do just that, wipe away the excess Here is the Gaiderol class Battleship, 1 x 490mm Particle beam beam spinal mount battery of three barrels, 3 x triple barrel 330mm particle beam cannons, 4 x dual barrel 280mm particle beam turrets, 33 large torpedo tubes, 8 medium torpedo tubes aft, 6 x gattling AA/AM turrets, 32 single AA/AM turrets, 6 x fixed forward 330mm particle beams or torpedo tubes

These bases the ships come with are basic display bases that allow some tilting, but there are more dynamic, mutlipose ones out there for sale that look like hydraulic arms.

Anyway, I have now the Destoria class Heavy Cruiser(A Battle cruiser is due in October), It is armed with 4 x torpedo tubes forward, (chin mounted doors) and 4 x torpedoes aft, 4 x triple barreled 330mm Particle beam cannons (3 x dorsal, 1 x ventral), 4 x triple barreled 280mm particle beam cannons that face forwards and aft, mounted on either side, and 4 x wing mounted particle beam cannons, (Likely 280mm as well).

They look awesome shaso. I think the side turrets could use a bit more definition from the hull, but otherwise it looks great. Love the decal work .

Just a bit more inking and they will be less "Blended" into the hull. I have seen images with them having limited aiming due to swivel, but the kits did not allow for that sadly, so they are more static than the belly and back 330mm turrets.

Now the Kelkapia High Speed Cruiser is a monster torpedo boat at 240meters long. Weapons are; 3 x triple barrel 330mm particle beam turrets (2 x dorsal, 1 x ventral), 1 x six tube missile launcher facing aft. 2 x aft torpedo tubes. 4 x forward torpedos under the chin, 6 x torpedo tubes forward upper hull, 2 x larger torpedo launchers forward in blisters.

Okay, so i am going to have a ship that makes the Gaiderol BB look smaller as it is a longer and wider design, as it is a carrier, the Polmerie class


I am also expecting a different Carrier Battleship hybrid


and 2 sets of cruiser+destroyer for a more fleshed out Earth force, that way I will have 2 red/white cruisers, 2 red/gray cruisers, and the same for the destroyers.

Okay, here are the dual pack of Kripiteria class destroyers, they have a shared base. Weapons are 1 x 280mm dual barrel particle beam turret ventral, 1 x 133mm dual barrel particle beam turret aft dorsal, 1 x dual quad missile launcher turret aft dorsal, 1 x 8silo missile launcher fore in hull. 2 x blister forward firing beam batteries left/right, 4 x forward torpedoes medium sized, 2 x medium torps aft, 4 x small torps aft. a lot of weapons to pack on a 160mm ship!

lower 280mm the wings prevent the guns firing to the left/right but can fire forwards a few degrees and more so to the rear, as these ships are peppy and move like fighters in space, it makes some sense as they do all kinds of moves

Space Battleship Yamato 2199, a reboot of a 1970's anime that broke some molds as it were. Outside Japan is called Starblazers,,,then they had less to work with, the newer show and models are well planned out and as you can see the look is cool! I have my Gamilons, with more on the way. I am waiting for the Yamato kits to be replenished in 1/1000 scale so I can order it and some more stuff. Just look up either Starblazers 2199 or Yamato 2199 in a search, it will pull up info. Youtube has the original series someone hosts it. Kinda silly english dub now that I am older but still interesting as in the 1970's no one had dared animate full on space fights.

Looking great shas! How does the carrier ship work? Does it only launch aircraft in planet atmospheres? I only ask because void fighters would have a BSG-type launch bay right?

Or are the aircraft similar to Tbolt fighters and Marauder bombers, capable of both void or atmospheric operations?

I do love the work you are doing right now, they look brilliant. Just thought I aught to say.

The fighters are definitely ex-atmo types, Ie. atmosphere and void capable, launched in different ways from anti-grav decks or dropped as in the case of the starfish, LOL!

The one carrier and the Battleship-Carrier, the clouds are in an Ion flow between 7 stars. Starfish is big, comes with 1/144 scale fighter and 2 1/1000 scale fighters, Battleship-Carrier has the bomber and the separated bridge ship for the Dreadnought

No Vik, not the lottery, just the settlement lump for fighting with the Social Security office for my disability issues, I am now official. The Eisenkern will be more of the Kruegerian 144th Iron Heart Brigade so they will look similar paint wise to

Monthly income, not a regular paycheck every week or two, but yeah, more secure now so to speak. I am also looking forwards to the big beasty getting here. working on the UN space fleet ships, you have already seen the step by step, I will post pics of raw but finished ships, I will step-by -step the carriers as they are all new and BIG kits! 383mm and 390mm long each.

I think it is soon time to show a little familly group shot with all these armadas floating around with you.

No worry, I will show them pre-paint, post paint and decaled 2 x fighters, 4 x cruisers and 4 x destroyers for the UNCN

One carrier has the 1/144 scale fighter that will match the 2 fighters scale wise or so, the other carrier has plenty to work with as well! and the triple decker carriers coming in the future will be 41cm long the super dreadnought is 73cm!!!

By the way, will these ever see any game time?

Only if someone wants to play a fleet fight in 1/1000 scale ships! otherwise I have them for a personal collection and my own imaginings. My Klingon models of the same scale are soooo jealous of the love these babies have been getting.

Also looks like they changed the switch in the poweredplay kit, thank god. The old switch was a micro switch that was poorly placed on the circuit board, you should be able to mount hat in the model and no have to take the lid and shoulders off each time to turn it on and off.

There should be enough space under the torso to one side or the other of the spine. It would be hidden from Line of site, yet accessible.
