I paint from the pots
I also lick my brushes which caused me to glue a brush to my tongue a few weeks ago
I really need to change that habit.

I found their Pheonix red dries as close to the color of the plastic of the red carrier to be a more perfect match than wazdakka red, I find this as awesome sauce!

I quit licking my brushes, but I still use my lips to form them

Technically it was while trying a new riveting method, so I took one for the league .

For all the years o messing around with my little plastic guys I'm still quite the newb, and do lots of stupid things.

More work is don on the long red carrier, I gave it the flight deck and have the Battleship beef up option nearby for the "in case" and used the 1/1000 scale DWG-229s for what normal flight ops would look like besides the odd mission of carrying the drill bomber DBG-88.

@Vik: I decided that paint would be vbrighter than the grey decals that came with the carrier kit. That flying saucer is actually the detached bridge for this beasty;
73cm of superdreadnought class warship.

@Theo: Got that right! as you can see there is a central elevator and 2 side elevators for the carrier.

@Dave: Thank you Dave! that ios so far the longest of the ships I have collected, the starfish of doom carrier is 383mm to the red 390mm total length.

And to order expanded army carriers for the minis I am making and painting. I have new Heavy weapons teams for the great coats, I have the Amexadians from Defiance to paint, and the platoon of Eisenkern, err, Kruegerians and their heavy weapons and the Leviathan Crusader to build and paint. The AT-43 and Dust stuff I am adding as well.

Yeah, can't wait for that one to come out. Likely a 100dollar ship the others have been about 20-40dollar range.

Oh yeah, another drop arrived today, the Factories across the Konfederacy have been very busy Komrades! the Khadrovian Iron Guard has new armored assets, new walker assets and now some air assets as you will soon see.
Sad that AT-43 is OOP due to Rackham not staying alive, or selling the IP to an active company, so more for the Khadrovian Highland Tundra camo pattern have arrived.

Hard to believe that they each are spawned by the same plastic model maker, the Great coats are purely WGF, and the others are also made by WGF for DFG and the differences in design do show through like night versus day

THe difference is all in the design. Mark from DFG is a designer, the other guys make models for war games. Just like the Leviathans, Mark designs and engineers the pieces to be functional (even though they are scifi). Where the other guys make guns with barrels, ammo hoppers and a stand, mark looks into recoil and how the crew will need to be deployed to design the weapon system. Not sure how much technology goes into marks work, but It looks so much more functional.

Well, Mark has won me over! I will buy his "Protectorate" troops when eh gets to making them. The designs so fit my Konfederacy and will be the latest of Khadrovian gov't design protective uniforms and weapons.
The Cadian/Tau influenced uniforms will be older units, but new uniforms will be the platoons of the Protectorate style ashanka helms and masks

Well, both do use walkers a lot. but now you see the differences

Well, I have also been getting things for the household as well, but nah, 3 guys is no big deal, the IG teams still count as 2 wounds the spotter is there just to help guide them is all.!

Nice to see those lovely Dust models! Every time I look at the SSU stuff, I think of your armies!
