Great game today Optimus... My first edition 7 victory... And it was very enjoyable... Love the new tactical objective missions.

They were alot of fun, dispite loosing 1/3 of my army by turn 3the game only ended 13-8. Loved that a single scout managed to take an objective from under the foot of a Knight.

I think I'll drop any psychic powers from my list, they are a little too unrealiable now..

Yeah, the doubles rule makes it trickier for sure... Want a big strength 10 vortex? Then prepare to roll on the perils chart! Love it! The new tactical objectives may breathe life back into more mobile armies, and the battle forged benefit was useful.

New to WH40k and would love to get a game going somewhere in Toronto.

I'm staying in Markham through the week (live in London normally) for work.

I can field 1500 points of orks, but I'm really green.

Would anyone be up for a casual game of 40k? I will be free for the next 4 days(Thurs, Fri, and weekend) anytime, preferably in the morning/afternoon. Unless something unexpected comes up.

I can travel to GW Yonge/Lawrence, Friendly Troll, Dueling Grounds, Heavy Support, Meeplemart or anywhere in the GTA within walking distance of TTC buses/subway.

I'd prefer to play 6th edition, but if you have 7th I'd be down for it. I just won't have a copy of the rulebook and would need some explanation to the changes and new rules. Not gonna spend anymore money than I really need to.

I've pretty much finished painted 1/2 of my army. Would like to see them in action. Please PM if anyone is interested.

We still on for this Saturday Kungfu? If so I will start tallying up my BA and see how much I have, since they are open longer on Saturdays we could probably go bigger depending on what I have.

Sadly, this Saturday something came up last minute so you won't be able to crush me in 3 consecutive appocalypse games. :(

Ahh, too bad. Depends on which codex you mean, eldar didn't change, BA got a lot, plus possibly massive vehicle nerf for no reason, hard to know if it's just a typo or not. Tyranids also didn't change much. Chaos got a big nerf which i'm not overly sad to see happen, no more 360 hell turkey flamer, it's hull mounted now, muahahaha .

Don't care to much about that one, I always use the hades like a sucker.

I could do some gaming on friday, and I have no problems playing 6th, technically haven't played a game of 7th yet. I'm free for most of the day but an early start is usually preferable, let me know if you are interested.

Hey, welcome to the forum (if only for a week), if you are interested and free on saturday we could get game in. I mostly play at Legends Warehouse, which is located in Vaughan (Langstaff/Weston Rd) so if you have a car we could set up a meet/time and play some 40k. Would you be looking to play 6th or 7th edition?

Question for anyone who games regularly at the younge/lawrence GW:
Any general opinions/info on the place? As 40k at meeplemart might become tenuous at best, and a lot of players (myself included) are migrating over to infinity, I figure I'd look into alternate venues.
How's the general population? Are games mostly scheduled, or what are the best times for walk-in pickup games?
Is forgeworld accepted?
I have a lot of customized/kitbashed models (all GW parts though), how's that kind of stuff looked upon by the players/management?
Likewise for home-brewed or house ruled systems (like heralds killteam)

I'm just getting back into 40k, I'd be down for a game. I could do tonight. You have a specific store/area in mind to play at?

You have a 7th edition rulebook, and how many points of army do you have atm?

@alexc if he doesnt have a lot of points I'd be down to do some 1v2 where one of us goes versus jasharen and the other, equal points. would seem like a nice way to ease a new player in as well as get myself used to 7th.

I know where legends is, the other stores not so much.

As for points, it depends on how I put it together but I have 1500 points pretty easily. I'm not sure if my first game should be that big though!

Meeplemart's at Dundas and Spadina. Duelling Ground's at Bloor and Dufferin. I don't have a car, so I'm restricted to these options I'm afraid.

I can field up to 1250 points of Space Marines. I'll play 2v1 or 1v1 or whatever. 6th or 7th edition. I haven't played 7th yet, but I have the rules.

Google maps is saying about an hour to get downtown from here.

I think that puts me downtown at about the earliest of 6:30pm.

Which location is better and has parking?

I can't do today anymore, but tomorrow anytime after 415 works for me. I have 1800ish points of space wolves and necrons.

I'd be up for joining a team matched game (2v2?) at Meeple or DG if you guys are ok with it. But I'd be bringing Chaos.
