With my barely being on since the great server reset (and not at all since before the tekkit server went up), I'm kinda behind on the current events of the server.

Last time I visited it didn't have the roof then:

The grand hall underneath his place is equally impressive.
Obviously the new netherbrick cooking recipe helped him to finish the roof.
At Any rate... Well done to whoever built that... Its sexy as hell!
And Shrike, Anvil and I have a Railway project going off at the moment.
Well, last I checked I had a fethton of rails in the manor from the old netherway, though admittedly, that was back in the first week following the server reset, so it may have been pilfered/used since
and I forgot about Fett, the silent hero of a builder

Go AFK for one's homies.
Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

"You need not fear us, unless you are a dark heart, a vile one who preys on the innocent; I promise, you can’t hide forever in the empty darkness, for we will hunt you down like the animals you are, and pull you into the very bowels of hell." Iron - Within Temptation

I believe the polite thing, when you set off a creeper on someones Roof, is to either leave a sign with your name or at least try and Fix the damage ¬¬

It isn't for everyone. If you have been playing games since the beginning when games were actually challenging, you will enjoy it. It is a really calming experience. Except for when night falls and the creepers come out. Actually, go on Youtube and look at all of the awesome stuff people have built. Apparently some guy built a scale Starship Enterprise complete with fully decked out interior. That takes some dedication.
I find games like Minecraft to be a breath of fresh air during a time when videogames have become depressingly easy. Once in awhile we get gems but they are rare. I just bought a used copy of Resident Evil 6 as I have always been a huge fan of the series since it was on the original Playstation. It was $25. I'd rather get my money back and buy a used PS1 and play all the great games that it came with.

So yeah, I don't really post in this thread. I make the Dawn of Awesome cartoons, which are equally loved and loathed on this website. Well, I made a Minecraft cartoon. At a glance it may look like a Dawn of Awesome cartoon, but it's actually the result of months of hard animation work instead of the typical burst of sleep deprivation that makes a Dawn of Awesome cartoon. Anyway, figure there might be some overlap in the audiences here in the Dakka Minecraft thread

Oh, that wood house and tower actually looks like Chowder's place last time I visited.
Just counted them up, the tally's at 225. Admittedly, a lot of those are just different versions of the same skin, so actual unique skins number around the 100-110 mark.
...I like making skins, okay?

Really doesn't feel like work if you like doing it, and it was done over quite a while... I think just under 2 years...

Nope, I got 99.5% of it from nether fortresses because it's way faster (imo) and you go though fewer picks.

Spoiler:
Shot from inside the hall (below the caslte thingy)
From the other end. Its just long enough that you can't see the other side when you put your view settings at "Far"
Outside the above ground part.
inside the above ground part, it's hollow for now.
I reckon you could go off minecraft for the next four years, come back, and still no one would have built anything close to that
Seriously dude, I consider myself to have a pretty good attention span if something interests me, but jesus I wouldn't have gotten 10% through that build before I drifted off to do other stuff
I tip my hat to you, good sir.
