Though if it is nice to find a side project when working on something big, youknow so that you don't get tired of it. I'm drawing a blank for suggestions right now though. <No help whatsoever >

A Winter Home. (Literally)
Ice windows. Ice roof But making it look pretty. Combining both birch and spruce woods to make pretty colors and then stone brick and cobble for finishing touches and there we go. Got a winter home!

if you are looking for birch wood i have a stack of saplings you can have a chunk of. i know its not wood but its like that teach a man to fish saying... just with wood.

i am currently terraforming around my city to lay down my ranch, once i breed or find the last few paint horses i need all of my unwanted horses will be available to other players for sale or trade. i currently have 18 or so horses fenced up in my city.

In case it's mine (My house is out in a desert near a giant chair thingy) you can steal what you want, and blow it up. I will say this though, there is a decently large cavern below my house that I haven't finished exploring. It could easily be a side project. Lots of gems and what not down there.

Hell, even if it's not my house if anyone wishes to blow up my house and steal what they want from my house, they can. It may still have the fireworks launcher from New Years (yes it's been that long since I've had the minecraft itch). Unless this isn't the regular Dakka MC server, and then I'll just shut up

Edit: It's not mine mine, but my house is at x: 1116, z: -53 if anyone wants to raid it.

I had no idea people were so sensitive about buildings being with eyesight of personal areas...You would NOT do well in the Kingdom of Kiip.

Also, it's a pretty neat little base. Nice and organized. My place is a mess - it's a mixture of medieval castle stonework and post-modernist Monumentalism.

I think it's more a question of who is building near you and whether they have permission. Within Kiip from what I gather it's was a communal sort of area from the get go, so building close to each other is not such a problem (Looking good by the way). Same goes for the area near myself and Cantium; it doesn't bother me if he builds within eyesight of my land as 1) he's a good builder so it won't be an eyesore and 2) I asked him to settle near me for joint projects.

If on the other hand someone I didn't know came and started building directly in front of my castle out of nothing but cobblestone, then it would be very annoying. It's all about boundaries and respecting what other players on the server have already done in an area and asking permission to settle within x distance of them if it seems like trouble might arise from it. Obviously some players will be more lax or strict depending on personal preference, but as I say it boils down to respect. If you ask someone if you can build near them they are less likely to get cross than if you just start doing it and end up being forced to move

Eh, I'm working on flattening out the hilltop and smoothing stuff out in general. I'm going to ditch the medieval look and go with something more modernist, AKA lots of cobble, stone, and glass, with plenty of wood flooring. Basic but hopefully less of an eyesore than what I have now.

If you wanted to help out, I'd love as much stone, cobblestone, and oak wood as possible. If you want anything in return, let me know.

My PC's internet is restored. BACK TO CREATING THE LABYRINTH!

I went there, No signs of anyone there. 2 furnaces, 2 chests of stuff. No bed though.

The top is made of cobble, dirt and stone brick and there's a ladder descending to the depths.

Its weird, because it's the circular structure on the hill, not the actually look-alike hut. There's doors below it, so it's inhabited.

If I was in your kingdom Klip, I wouldn't actually care, as long as it was tasteful. However, this is just plonked on top of a hill next to a clearly occupied area with work going on. (I've almost done my castle as well).

Alright, finally flattened out my hill. Now I just need to even out the sides with cobble (for now), and I can get started on my master plan - having the top of my place be a massive square with 4 corner towers, and one massive central citadel. All of these will be connected to each other, and the top floor of each will probably have a domed glass roof with a farm underneath.

I'm going to use stone for all the trimmings and bits I plan to do, and cobble for interiors/support structures like floors. I'm going to have lots and lots of windows as well - one long one running from top-to-bottom of each corner tower at the very least.

Horses, horse armour, coal blocks, hardened clay, dyed hardened clay, zombies calling their homies, difficulty changes at last, Ultra Hardcore gmaemode (no health regenerating), carpet, regenerating health affects food intake, leads, haybales and name tags.

Don't think I am missing anything.

Charcoal looks different and Lapis Looks different.
