It's going to be built as ghast-resistant. Netherbrick floor, stonebrick walls and ceiling. And my mesa needs its clay for the look I'm going for.

Also it appears taht the server crashed, or is lagging so bad I can't connect.

Why not just leave the outer layer of the Mesa alone and mine out the inside?

I have spent the past ten minutes searching for the reason for this crash, and I can't seem to find it. Might be linked to Minecraft hating Linux servers is all I can tell.

We probably won't need that much hardened clay for the Nether Hub, and I think, for the tunnels, that we should stick to infinitely renewable resources, simply because of how long they'll probably end up being. Also, Nether Feel- needs to be more Hellish than bright and colorful. So Netherbrick (which can be made from all the Wrack we'll be mining), and cobble, and stone and stone brick, and iron bars instead of glass.

Unless hardened clay is Ghast proof?

Anywhere outside the walls around spawn and the Dakka sign. Just be aware that the closer you are to spawn, the more likely you are to have neighbours and they might not always have the same aesthetic tastes as you :-P

A stronghold has been found here. Its lit up for the most part, though some parts have been broken up by caves, so be warned if you're exploring it.

Due to the proximity of the first one to spawn, I vote that we make it the "public entrance" the Ender Grinder, once the Dragon is slain etc

Don't kill the dragon. We need to record it... So noone install gravity gun mod and kill it. We need a team of six just for the hell of it!

Lag issues on the vanilla server should be fixed now. It was lag spilling over from the FTB Minecraft server which is now resolved.

I dunno, those solutions are all over the place, for Craftbukkit/1.6.4/1.7.2 etc.

I see you're online and in-game now. Have you had this problem since I fixed the lag problem? The lag in the FTB server was really bad (like "worst we've had" bad).

I haven't had that problem since you solved the lag, so hopefully the lag is what caused it.

I got "stranded" in Castle Wolfenstein after using a portal to and from the nether. To get back to my place i borrowed iron (3), coal (8) and some wood (spruce planks). I'll replace them as soon as i manage to get a safe passage between our houses.

If anyone sees an Ocelot near spawn, please trap it and tell me. I spawned one from the egg I got at the start of the previous server (Lego had a chest in his house with various spawn eggs and other stuff, and I think a limit of 3 things per person, can't remember that much of it) and it decided to glitch through the cobble wall and into the stream.

It either drowned itself, or ran off, because I can't for the life of me find it anywhere.

Seeing as no Jungles have been discovered yet, I'm pretty pissed off about it.

Wouldn't Darkinnit help you out in that situation? As I understand the FAQ's, the rules say that he will help players out when they lose things only if its a result of a glitch or game crash.

Speaking of which, one of my Mooshrooms died mysteriously shortly after we moved to the new server. Think he bugged into a wall, and now I have only one Moosh. I would breed him with a cow, but apparently since 1.2.5 this as not been possible.

You're not close, but the nether could make it quicker. I'll have to star armouring my nether route soon, I'm in a fortress and have a blaze spawner on my doorstep.

Yeah. I need to get my own portal set up. Gonna stock up on potions of fire Resistance if I can. Need to get the Obsidian I need, though. I still have yet to craft a Diamond pick.
