It will end up being a proper island again, very soon.

It's a joint project between me, Sky_Slasher, and Jambayemon, and is intended to be a sort of Viking outpost rather than a homeland -- maybe after a long sea voyage, kind of, first Viking settlers in Vinland kind of a deal.

id like to help build that as well, unfortulately its a litte far... lol so i think ill finish the basics of my village and hopefully we can link through the nether

Sounds good, Somedude. Yeah, we have a couple of portals in the area, but they kind of lead to blasted wastedland in the nether, till we get the transport system sorted out! Feel free to join us and make a house there whenever you like, though.

Same goes for any other Viking fans.

I had 3 steps, 2 nether brick blocks, a cobblestone block and a torch blow up, and I dropped from full health or so to half a heart. This is the second time that it's happened.

When you said "random explosions" I thought you meant distant from you. But if it was right next to you it was probably a creeper snuck up on you. Try to find any dark spots and make sure they're lit up.

I'm not sure how, my entire tower is well lit, the entrance to my observatory has a hatch, and I live in a floating tower... Ain't not way to check like server logs is there?

Ladies and gentlemen I am pleased to announce that the westward nether tunnel is almost complete. It currently stretches from the 0,0 portal to x=-400, y=0

If you live in this direction and would like to be linked onto this main tunnel (Looking at Raevyen, _tikkamasala_ in particular) can you let me know your co-ordinates (in the Nether) and I'll add tunnels to you nether portals to give you easy access.

@Schellan96 and I think Weltenwolf (not sure I spelt that right) it seems you two have built part of the tunnel to spawn and added doors along it, do you have any objection to me altering and adding to your section of the tunnel to match the area I've dug, add a roof, walls etc?

Has mine been linked up, then? Otherwise I'll have to do that, and I'd like to know if I have to do so before descending Kiipstone/that Savannah mountain, considering it's quite a task to get up again..

Thank you very much. My coordinates in the nether should be (x,y,z)=(-276,87,-68). I'll check in-game and edit if necessary.

Edit: i missed the minus sign for the z coordinate. fixed it above

I'm out east, too. Well, north-east, if we're going to try for an eight-way structure this time, in the nether transit system. I'm very much up for building the north-east line, actually, if someone can let me know the standard template (screenshot, maybe?)

Maybe eight way- But I think we're rather going for a 4 way main setup- then you only need a single straight branch tunnel to get to the main tunnel, to get back to the Hub.

No objection, just keep my main-tunnel intact, the part upstairs with the yellow windows.

On an unrelated note; while Blaze hunting I found several horse armours (2x diamond, 2x gold), anybody interested? Have no use for them.

- 1x diamond taken (gangsta)
- 1x gold taken (FM_ninja)

Are we not going with Tyranid Horde's plan for the Nether Hub (top of p. 565)? That's 8-way.

and Im pretty sure I am out west (North West). I will link myself to the tunnels once I know where it is

Ok, I'll get to work finishing the West route tonight/tomorrow morning. I hope to link up as many people on that as I can, including spawn, then as the consensus seems to be east I'll begin heading out that way.

I may set up a chest at the current hub for donations of cobble and iron.

@ian sturrock: I'm not sure whats happening with the hub at the moment, it doesn't currently look like the design a few pages back, but that may be to do with people not having time or no-one wanting to start alone. I'll stick to building a 4 way system for now, but if the consensus is to build 8 ways I'll look into making that work

@thenoobbomb: you haven't been hooked up yet as you are North, which I haven't got around too yet

@Weltenwolf: No problem, I'll keep it intact. Would you like me to replace the ladder with stairs while I'm at it?

I have made a portal to a shroom biome. I'll let everyone know when it is safe for general use.
