Because we all know how well that went last time people tried it.
Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. People don't laugh, but I barely use anything but those, either.

Kip is Dutch for "chicken". Add another "i" to make it sound silly and, tadah!
The legend never dies!
n0t_u wrote: Now for the brief adventures of Clucky, the Adventure Chicken. He started off as one of the bunch Dark dumped in the house. The way they were dying off and killing each other it may as well have been a competition. Clucky ended up being the winner and was presented with the door being open. After a few minutes in front of the fireplace it finally dashed out the door. It then dashed inside then out, then in again until I punched it starting the adventure.
Spoiler tags of course as there's a few as he made it out about 2-300 blocks after going in circles for a bit.
Spoiler:
He starts off by exploring the swamp.
Discovered sheep.
Almost fell into the cave under the water here
Swamp squid.
Land squid sort of and time to go underground. -.-
Figured it would probably end here and rather boringly.
But it found the way out somehow.
Finally leave the swamp biome and begin climbing some mountains.
He discovers a floating rock.
Then jumps down a cliff so I take fall damage.
Then starts crossing the river towards the desert biome on the other side or the hills that were there.
Decides on the desert.
Which has his greatest challenge after the cave; cacti.
Makes it past the first two but runs head on into the third.
That's the end of his adventure.
His sign even has tags so it should appear on the map.
What the...is that normal AI behaviour for chickens? Do chickens normally go on such epic adventures over such long distances, or did they use some mods or console commands to make it move so far?

You dare imply that Clucky's adventure was faked for entertainment purposes!?
Words escape... escape... uhh...

I swear I think those two have a hate-crush on each other sometimes.
Sorta? We've got a really nice Nether Hub set up, and people are being a little more intelligent about road systems- we've got 4 "Main" roads, with branch roads from those. People're still making little between paths all over the place, but it's generally a little simpler to navigate than it was before.
GENERATION 8: The first time you see this, copy and paste it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation. Consider it a social experiment.
If yer an Ork, why dont ya WAAAGH!!
M.A.V.- if you liked ChromeHounds, drop by the site and give it a go. Or check out my M.A.V. Oneshots videos on YouTube!
Simpler to navigate as in you only become lost 70% of the time once you leave the initial hub area, rather than what was once just a maze of tunnels with the words "Blaze Spawner" scrawled on the walls every ten paces.
Is there a Jungle Biome on this map? Either the areas were loaded before Jungle were put on the server or I just keep mistaking Jungle for Forests. I'd try to get some from Darkinnit's Jungle tree but it looks trimmed.
Also, what's up with this?
http://old.darkinnit.com/dakkamap/#/-306/64/-61/-4/0/0 You people used to build so close to each other, now you're always offended if you can see your neighbors from any point of your land.

IIRC Jungles became a lot rarer with one of the updates, and I don't think we've actually come across any yet, and none was generated during server creation.
As for building close to each other, no, we're not 'always offended' if neighbours can be seen. We're offended if people start building something ten blocks away without even bothering to ask first, but few, if any, people have specified that nobody build within their sight. I really don't know where you got that idea from.
The people on that map are also surprisingly spread out. A lot of the buildings at Spawn, including the Dakka sign, were created by Dark to provide a fair start for everyone who joined; with farms and beds etc. There's always been a general rule of leaving at least 100 blocks between yourself and a neighbour, and most of the player-built places around spawn actually comply, but on the map they look close together. Looking at the map as a whole, coupled with the fact that there were tens of players who played on that server, shows you that the majority of people actually went off and did their own thing in the middle of nowhere. The only real time most of the server's regulars came together was during Mel's Suburbia project.

Then it's just that I see more complaints about peoples zoning plans than I do about collaborative efforts on this thread.
Like Optio saying some towers were "extremely close" while being 200 blocks away or Dr. What being displeased at the "cobblestone mess" right next to his base, but it's fine when it's a nice fort 25 blocks away, of course. Unless he built both, but it says dbsamurai lives in the other fort.
Compared to people who want to collaborate, then proceed to do so, which I don't recall seeing on this thread. But maybe I just missed them, they were all started before I got here or people just work together starting on the server and not here.
