Least pig men. Are annoying but not bad as insuring vs the likes of nitro crepers, fire bats and nether spiders.
Some mods make it a unfriendly place.

Hey Stormwarriors (TyrannidHorde, I think here?)- I was exploring your castle (the East Rail Exploratory tunnel has reached the ravines near your castle if you want to start planning a station)- but I ended up falling off your tower. My stuff's currently sitting on the platform between your main middle towers- hopefully it's in unloaded chunks, and you'll read this before logging on, so you can grab it for me. There's a couple blocks of emerald ore and a diamond pick- the rest is pretty meh- feel free to take one of the emerald ores for payment if you want.

Would anyone mind if I took out the ladder in the middle of the 0,0 nether portal? I went up it and someone had been digging around up there. I'm not sure if it currently serves any purpose, but if no one would mind losing the ladder I could put a speed beacon in the middle of the portal

Cant you have the ladder and the bacon beam in the same spot?

Not really, I could put the ladder in a corner of the portal, with the light up the middle, but that might really look odd and bug some people.

I went in and didn't find anything. They must of despawned before I got there. By the time I reached it I think I was a bit late. Sorry I have been on in months. Studies and all. I will be back on the server sometime but this year has taken all my time and my creativity into fixing and building 3d models so. I will be back and will comeback to making spawn look more pretty!

Oh, I feel you with the modelling. I must've lost about a month in sleep hours last semester due to that stuff.
And it's not a huge issue- I just hate losing the emerald ores and the pick.
Also, you want in on the railway?

Emerald is super easy to get. If you just wanted the Ores for decor then that sucks.
Diamond picks are super easy also. Just spay about 28-30 emeralds for 2 in spawn and combine them in you inventory

Sure just don't build into the the vault. (The dunegon looking area)
But you can build it anywhere you want. Just not into anything valuable.

It's not that close, really, so no issues with building under you. I broke through into the nearby ravine that you'd explored.
Yeah, the emeralds were ores for decoration. I've already traded most of my rotten flesh stock to the priests at spawn (sorry if they don't have anything anymore- bought some glowstone and lapis from them as well).

@Anvil, I'm now around -3800Z! Getting there. I'm tunnelling at Y=12 right now so as to avoid lava. Are we panelling the lava over with glass, eventually? Or just running our suspended railroad well above it?

I'd say just run the railroad above- I'm thinking a nice big tunnel, so the glass isn't really needed.
I've made it to around -2000, and I'm at about 12 as well, I think.
I've found StormWarrior's castle (as you may have guessed) so that's pretty cool.
Looking forward to meeting you there! And watch out for lava!

I've not been on much lately due to having moved in with the LOVE OF MY LIFE and stuff. Basically my evenings are... occupied for the foreseeable future. Which is fantastic. But I need to make time for MC too. Someday.

I think he liked the idea. And, at the moment we don't really have a central file of publicly available farms. I'd love to collect a bunch of gunpowder from you or Ralph but didn't know it was available (I did stock up on string/wool from Ralph a few months back).
Likewise if anyone has endless iron available, please let me know, 'cos if I didn't have to use stone picks all the time it'd make building this 10x10x4500 tunnel easier.
