More buildings for the Building God! -Shasolenzabi
Nice work love the sword and the effect I would only skim it with brass as the blackness is kind of fitting and as for the base maybe some red brick debris would look cool on it.
I think you should extend the building range and make a tower
Forget god save the queen, god help whoever she's after.
Love the sword, great effect on it. And a cutlass is definitely the right choice for anyone sporting the Union Jack.
I think the base could stand to go even a little more brown, but it's a good separation now.

Going with the Victorian theme broken red brick would fit the theme nicely
Yes, extend the building range and keep it for yourself make a large section similar to the piece you have all ready done but add a large tower section to one corner.
i meant to sell that piece...but currently i feel a strong urge to fight that plan....
Well if you do sell it take plenty of pics, that way when you build mk II you'll have plenty to go off of besides memory. I find it helpfull to build my initial model, then go back and build it better. While you build the first to get all that creative energy flowing, and you get hit with different inspirations, you can refine and make it better on the next. And I someone is willing to buy the first, then so much the better.

Yep! I take lots of WIP shots mostly so I can remember how I did something.

Vik, you could make the towers separate from the fort itself, but notche them out so they fit over the corners. That way you could have a modular fort and varying number of turrets depending upon the game being played. Just an early morning thought before I truly woke up.

well... i tell you something... this fortress will be far from the last... i will need to do some more carefull planning next time... and i like your idea very well...
for now it´s this i want to show you regarding the fortress...:
the towers are resting on a sort of plug...so for storing and transportation they could be taken off...
and also this is what i come up with for ladders...
and touched up the doors...
a regular doorframe...will receive rivets eventually...this time raised ones tho...
and also i have brassed up the knight...
still all prewash... but after the third drybrush on the base the base at least is something i am fine with...
The ladders are great, but if you trace the firing arc from the towers, doesn't it leave a blind/vulnerable spot at the corners? The Knight is looking sporty! In fact, he's only three stripes away from having an Adidas sponsorship!

Dave what you see as a blind spot under the towers is just. Cleverly concealed minefield .
Vik, great looking knight with the brass added to it. The base has also turned out great, even without the cogs.

I really like the knight, but I'd like to see a really full-on paintjob on the red - either really pristine, high gloss, with intricate tracery/freehand, or heavily battle scarred (or indeed both). I think with such large surface areas one really has to go the extra mile.
Oh, and cool ladders, btw

Need, who said need? This is the 41st millennium, we mine everything. That's like asking if GW is going to put skulls on a Piece of terrain. You put guns on guns and mines in the parade ground, keeps everyone on their toes to the bitter end.

I see you were going the GW route just for sakes sake in that case stick some skulls on the mines while your at it.

LOL...thanks for the hand out ... a minefield is a very clever way... and if the oponent figures out about said fireing archs then he is bound to walk straight into the minefield LOL

argh... you clever git... i thought i could get away without either... no really... i meant to ask you all what would look better anyway... and tho i think pristine would be more fluffy... i think i want to try some scratches and apropriate weathering on this one...
oh... and on a not related note... who said that titans and knights should always look like walking men?
next project of a scratchbuild is already decided...as my wife brought me an old toy horse of he-man...
Spoiler:
note... not mine tho...mine looks less pristine...
Haha He-Man..reminds me of Mo-Larr, Eternian Dentist
