Definitely not an intuitive game. It's completely brilliant, but very hard to progress through without a guide the first time through. It "feels" more punishing than it actually is though and once you get into more of a Soulslike/Roguelike mindset with it some of its rougher edges really smooth out.
The actual Dungeons are a bit of a doddle. But with every reset, there’s niggly little things you need to do, like either collecting the Silver Rupees in Clock Town to get some funds or withdrawing from your savings, then tanking it around in Termina Field to get Bombs, Arrows, Fairies etc.
I feel there’s also too many races, which go on a bit and once you’ve utterly and horribly blobbed it, no option to Give In.
But I definitely enjoyed it more when it first came out.

One of my favorite games of all time. It was really mind-bending at the time. I hope it still stands up but time is more unkind to Video Games than any other form of media/art. One of my favorite games back in the day was Perfect Dark. It was rereleased a few years ago. I picked it up but couldn't even play it for 5 minutes.
Plugging away at Wild Hunt. Really REALLY disliking Gwent. I'm no good at those sort of games and it's pissing me off that there's so much of it. Took me about 20 goes to beat the Bloody Baron and that hasn't filled me with confidence about my chances of late game matches.
With the new expansion I'm back playing the Rogue Trader CRPG and having a great time. Although my laptop was going into Hibernate mode sporadically while in the middle of the game. Then it eventually kept going back into Hibernate when I tried to get out of it. I had to restart eventually, losing quite a bit of progress. I updated my graphics driver and other things, so I hope it's stopped now.

My story! Secret War
After his organisation is hired to hunt down an influential gang leader on the Hive world, Omnartus. Attelus Kaltos is embroiled deeper into the complex world of the Assassin. This is the job which will change him, for better or for worse. Forevermore. Chapter 1.
The Angaran Chronicles: Hamar Noir. After coming back from a dangerous mission which left his friend and partner, the werewolf: Emilia in a coma. Anargrin is sent on another mission: to hunt down a rogue vampire. A rogue vampire with no consistent modus operandi and who is exceedingly good at hiding its tracks. So much so even the veteran Anargrin is forced into desperate speculation. But worst of all: drive him into desperate measures. Measures which drives Anargrin to wonder; does the ends, justify the means?

What was wrong with Dice Poker?
I thought gwent was pretty fun but different strokes for different folks.

I'm sure Gwent is fun, if you're even passingly good at it. But I however, am not good at it. At all.
As far as I can see it relies more on you getting lucky and drawing the cards you need at the start rather then being skillful. Although I'm sure if you are skilled, you could make any of the cards work. But again, I lack said skill.
I must admit though, at first I did rather overlook the fact that Gwent was a secondary, non-storyline advancing, game element. I erroneously assumed that because it was everywhere that it must be important. So that's very much on me.
Been leveling up my Arbitrator (Adeptus Arbites) character in Darktide.
Having the cyber dog has its benefits, but I'd have preferred a more hands on approach, like being able to send it after items and particular enemies in the distance. Granted, I'm around level 10 or so, so there might be more to it than how I'm playing the class. I know there are some talents that give it abilities, but I'll have to wait til I unlock them to judge their usefulness. Also currently not a fan of the classes ranged weapons selection, as the iconic shotgun takes soooo long to reload. Looking forward to unlocking the bolt pistol and Bolter. Just sticking to the shotgun to get mastery points and maybe I'll begin to enjoy it once I get more perks.
Its definitely cool seeing the cyber dog jump/climb up, latch on and savage the larger enemies like Chaos Spawn and such.

a streamer i like to use for background noise has been leveling up an arbitrator recently. weapon wise, the bolt pistol looks to be a solid choice, given how just pastes things
Doing decently in Xenonauts 2. Sabotaged an alien platform bombarding earth and slowed its bombardment of my funding regions for a while. It came at a cost of 3 soldiers unfortunately but it's a timed mission so that's to be expected. Aside from that i took down a big carrier ufo or something that was pretty hard to take down at close range. I managed to not lose a single soldier in that mission and got a lot of good stuff from the ufo including research and tech. Now a terror mission is coming up.
Edit:
Updates. So i failed one terror mission and only managed to get one guy out of 12 to safety. It was a terror mission with at least 5 cyberdrones which hit hard (kinda mad they made cyberdrones seemingly stronger than before with 3 AoE blasts if they fire a volley at you and i swear they're more accurate than they should be), 2 alien psyon officers (mind control and damage) and lots of psyons and sectons (basically like sectoids). Got the alien forces down to like 5 guys but all the panic and alien mind control made things rougher (i think it was one psyon officer, one cyberdrone and some psyons and sectons left at the end). Things sort of went from bad to worse with that mission so as i said only one guy got out alive and the "corpse" i brought back rolled up as a death. Took me a while to get all my gear built back and enough resources. Thankfully i had a lot of spare soldiers at decent rank to replace them with. Had to let one other terror mission go because i wasn't prepared for it which boosted panic in western europe. Then i assaulted an alien base which went absurdly well. The base was huge but i got a lot of resources. I'm probably gonna invest in better planes soon because i need em. Also i'm about to go on another mission vs a harvester ufo. Last time i did so i won without losing a soldier but this time might be different.
Edit 2:
Updates. Ok one of my guys died in the ufo mission so far but it's almost over. Just command area left to go.

Unlocked and tried the bolt pistol and didn’t care for it. Its incredibly satisfying for sure, but I didn’t like the recoil.
Last night I got the riot shield with 5 shot revolver. Hits pretty hard and seems more accurate than the bolt pistol. So now I have the riot shield equipped with my melee and ranged weapon. DPS in melee might suffer, but I’m a sniper with this pistol and I like the melee shock/stagger ability to slow down incoming mobs.

Played through Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown last week. Absolutely delightful Metroidvania game. Definitely recommend checking it out if you missed it.
Ok so not much time to talk but in that mission i lost 3 soldiers in xenonauts 2 but one came back. Then i had another terror mission where all but 5 of my soldiers died but like 2 came back (about 5 dead and lots of lost equipment). Otherwise it's mostly going well again.
Ok i'm about to sabotage the alien structure that's orbital bombarding all of the funding regions in the world in xenonauts 2. It's going well enough now. I think i have nearly the top tech gear in the game if not the top. Haven't faced any batteship ufos yet however.

I'm not sure if it works the same way in the first Dishonored game but if i recall going on a murder spree has so many rats devouring everything in sight it may as well be Vermintide 3 ;P.

It’s the only Fallout I’ve ever played, and I love it.
Proper hooliganism. Wander off to your next objective, someone picks a fight. You flatten them, Nick All Their Stuff. Drop off said stuff which is now your stuff. Wander off to next objective. Someone else picks a fight. Rinse and repeat.

I. o. W. if you like fallout for the narrative... it's ... bad.
It's mechanically an upgrade tho and you can do a lot of hooliganism and there's ways to make basically every stupid build work.
Reccomend sneak explosives on survival for masochism.
Reccomend Heavy PA survival for fun.

GW:"Space marines got too many options to balance, therefore we decided to legends HH units." Players: "why?!? Now we finally got decent plastic kits and you cut them?" Chaos marines players: "Since when are Daemonengines 30k models and why do i have NO droppods now?" GW" MONEY.... erm i meant TOO MANY OPTIONS (to resell your army to you again by disalowing former units)! Do you want specific tyranid fighiting Primaris? Even a new sabotage lieutnant!" Chaos players: Guess i stop playing or go to HH.
Ok the mission where i destroy the alien orbital structure bombarding Earth was a fairly huge success. I lost 2 soldiers and one came back. I also think i assaulted a carrier and lost another 2 but 1 also came back. Finally i assaulted a battleship, took no soldier losses and took an alien eternal leader captive and interrogated him as well as got a singularity core (for even more super powered fusion weapons). I'm about to research Operation End-Game where you attack the alien home world and destroy it. I'll also raid yet another battleship before i do that however.

Barely played fallout 4. I heavily enjoyed skyrim and fallout 3 was decent enough. I remember in fallout 3 one time i was running away from a bunch of baddies so i put a bottlecap mine near the entrance to a doorway but out of line of sight. They came after me and i just remember body parts flying everywhere from that corridor and i was like "COOL!!!"
Reminded me of the scene from this super old video. About at 8:19 to about 11:16. Funny that i actually wrote the same "COOL!!!" comment as that guy without knowing he said that though.

I'm just unhappy the Skaven didn't get another shot in Dishonored 2.
------
So in my game of xenonauts 2 against the last battleship fight i lost one soldier that didn't resurrect back unfortunately. I'm not totally prepared for the End-Game mission but i don't want to do it yet.
I also played many more hours of the co-op fascist japan (me) and monarchist brazil (my online friend) and i've been fighting russia for weird reasons i can't fully understand. Currently most of the world is fighting against me but russia is also fighting a losing war vs the communist uk and other things. I'm rather annoyed the british navy is so stupidly strong. Now even my monarch brazil playing friend wants to attack the usa so if i join that i'll have legit just about the whole world fighting me. The biggest issue now is my japanese navy just doesn't have the numbers or quality to stand up to the british navy and my navy is massively getting destroyed. In fact i shouldn't have much navy left. I'm gonna try to make more naval dockyards but the uk has about 100 dockyards by itself and i have like 20 something. Also the usa is in a war against the UK i think which makes me not want to join brazil against it but it couldn't happen anyway since he doesn't have any fascism in his country so no alliance can be made (a weird accident on his part last time we were playing).
Supposedly the game is in 1947 and brazil is in 3rd place in total score whereas japan is now 5th. 1st is the UK and 2nd is the usa i think. I think 4th place was germany but i'm not sure.

The look & feel are very much warhammer fantasy, the rules are different though, simpler in some ways and they work really well. each game/match doesn't take that long to play, its really fun.
