Not much really, Marvel Avengers Alliance on facebook, and occasional plays on other games, but I'm busy with writing at the moment.

Its a shame too because the first game was so much better. I got fed up with the quick time events to hijack vehicles. The Irish pilot's accent seemed to hit just about everything from Irish, to Scottish, to Australian to South African. It was unintentionally hilarious!

I finally completed Ghost recon Future Soldier's campaign earlier on Elite. Yesterday one part of the last level was almost controller throwingly frustrating, today I beat the level third time through. Just a few challenge related achievements to get through. I might finish up Space Marine next week.

I am meaning to grab that, what are your thoughts?

I have read both good and bad reviews, oddly enough though they both said the same things - just some reviewers liked parts the others did not.

I will probably be grabbing it anyway, but . . . yea.
How is it?

The first one was one of the best open world games ever. That's why I bought the second one without even thinking about. Big mistake. I just want them to release the first Mercenaries as one of those downloadable classic Xbox games on XBLA.

If they'd do that I'd be very happy, the first one was miles better than the second. The problem is that with Pandemic no longer existing who gets the rights to release it?

I don't know. What do the bad reviews not like about it?

I'm not very far in yet (not collecting familiars at this point and at the
very first of the quest hubs), but I love the style of the game.

Some of it seemed to be the idea of leveling the familiars - especially the later ones.
Some of it seemed to be other things I would almost consider basic (if not always used) RPG elements, like random encounters.

Really, even the negatives seemed like good things to me, and some of the other reviews agreed.

Regardless, I am mostly curious about thoughts and opinions; I will most likely be buying it in any case.
I have not read anyone stating that it should be avoided, more that it is an actual game and not a Ghibli story to walk through.
That is not at all a bad thing, as I read it.

I'm only near the start. I play maybe 2 hours a week

I enjoy it. It's like Final Fantasy, Pokemon, and something called Tales ? (I'm not familiar with the third)

Been playing only two games recently:

Mercanries 2: World In Flames(Already mentioned above) which I am enjoying a fair bit other than the ocasional freeze.

Lost Odyssey, this game boggles my mind as to how good it is. Its one of the best party based games I'v played in a while. Considering playing it a second time if I can't get all the achievments just because I like to fully complete games I enjoyed.

When the rich rage war it's the poor who die

Armies I have: Chaos Space Marines, Tau, Necrons, High Elves

Armies I want:Lizardmen, Warriors Of Chaos, Dark Eldar

Armies I may get: Dark Angels, Tomb Kings, Vampire Counts

As best as I can tell EA still own the rights to whatever Pandemic created but they only kept on a small number of staff when they closed Pandemic to work on The Saboteur, most of the other Pandemic employees ended up at 343 working on the Halo franchise.

I'm playing Space Marine atm on the hardest difficulty and hope to finish that up the week. Then I'll go back and replay it for some level specific achievements and to find whatever servo skulls I missed (I hate collectibles in games ). I'm thinking about picking up Hitman Absolution too because it just dropped in price a bit on Amazon.

That's always a fun game. Before I moved I had no problems at all with my provider, when there was a fault with the line they had an engineer out the next day. The internet we currently have is abysmal, the wireless connection drops for no reason and the router randomly loses connection even when wired. But it does nicely tell us that the error has been resolved after we open the browser again.....and again.....and again. Needless to say when this contract expires we'll be more than happy to take our business elsewhere.

Just finished up Space Marine and while I enjoyed it for the most part it wasn't without its faults.
Spoiler:
why did the final battle with Nemeroth have to be a series of quick time events? I just comes across as lazy, maybe this is what inspired 6th Edition to be more cinematic.
From a plot and canon point of view a few things just stood out as badly written. For a Captain of the Ultramarines surely any Warp taint would have been long discovered, especially when the Chapter has the services of Tigurius. I'm surprised that Titus never thought to say that it was his faith in the Emperor that protected him. If the belief is that anything that can withstand the Warp is tainted by it then what does that mean for the Grey Knights, Librarians, psykers and even the Emperor?

I was once scolded by a group of my friends for saying this exact thing. Glad to know I'm not alone, I've recently replayed this also and I'm now replaying Skyward Sword and Minish Cap, been on a real Zelda kick since my copy of Hyrule Historia came home

I'm also currently playing Dead Space 3, fleeting plays of Dark Souls (when I can keep my temper ) and actually LotR: The Third Age for the Gamecube. (Which is actually probably my favourite LotR game I've played thus far.)
