When they make another co-op game as good as R6V2, with similar or better customization options, I'll try it out.
I also still play Swat 4 occasionally as well, because the industry doesn't make games like that any more.
The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

Playing Skyrim again with Dragonborn, and a crapload of new mods. I love that even with 290+ hours in, I still randomly stumble on stuff I've never done before.
Demigod wrote: I picked up Sang Froid this weekend from Steam. So far I really like it. It's a strategy game where basically you play a lumberjack that is fending off attacks from wolves and werewolves. You setup all of your traps during the day to survive the night time onslaught, and use strategy to it's fullest simply because the bad guys are just plain more powerful than you in a straight fight.
The art direction and story are very unique and well done IMO. On the plus side the cost of entry is under 15 bucks so overall its a deal.
I was a bit confused about Steam's description. It talks about customization, but it seems to make it clear that you don't really customize your character so much as you customize his skills and stats?
Saw a wtf is.. on totalhalibauts channel and want to get this too. So you enjoyed this?
Farcry 3 is an excellent game. Two criticisms: the game does not allow you to save anywhere. This makes the early game needlessly frustrating. I recommend bringing an assault rifle as back up as, strangely, the 'Loud' gunplay is incredibly easy. Shotguns are also pretty good.
Second, in the early game before you have a couple of the upgrades, namely the crouch-walk fast one, the stealth can be INCREDIBLY frustrating. You move almost literally at a snail's pace when crouched by default. Enemies also have an annoying habit of coming straight for you as soon as you fire a shot, they have the directional hearing of bats. (this also makes the bow, sadly, almost useless mechanically, you might as well bring a silenced assault rifle/smg/sniper, they'll hear all the same). So being able to crawl away fast is a necessity for stealth play.
However once you have all the stealth/takedown upgrades the game is an absolutely blast and almost literally filled with possibilities in the combat. I would recommend holding off on 'Heavy beatdown' until you're facing Hoyt's mercs, stealth killing the pirate heavies with a precision shot to the back of the head adds a thrilling challenge. The merc heavies have no weakness so are just bullet sponges.
EDIT: I intentionally avoided most of the health upgrades as they made the game incredibly easy, I would recommend upgrading to 3 lozenges and improving healing but playing until you feel you really need more health.

Bah! I was hoping that they wouldn't have carried this over from the last one, it was always hateful trying to get to a safe house to save your progress

Another annoying mechanic that was in the last game, and sadly many other games also. The is more of a reaction to suppressed shooting in the last two Rainbow 6 games than unsuppressed fire, then again both are Ubisoft titles.
I thought that Farcry 3 was good up until the second story arc was introduced, that's when it peaked for me. I can see why the writers felt the need for the bigger villain and all, but I just don't think that the second half of the game was executed well enough. For me the second island didn't come across as having the same amount of content as the first did. I'll be buying Blood Dragon though. It may not be the same size as its predecessor, but I'm hoping that it feels a fuller game. ...With dinosaurs.
I just installed KOTOR, and after having spent the better part of an hour trying to get the resolution to be compatible, got it to work. It'd be nice if Steam patched older games to be compatible with newer resolutions, but its endearing to have to jump through hoops to get older games to work, as long as you can replay them in the end. Despite canon saying the player was a goody two shoes I think I may play as a self serving pychopath this time around. ...Because Obsidian says I can, and that the whole concept of dark and light's just a silly thing that Hollywood came up with.
I am finally playing Space Marine, and feeling like a bit of a goon, as I installed it and bought all this multiplayer DLC...and it turns out no one's playing the multiplayer anymore.
I'm on with Dishonored atm, wicked game, though I think I'm close to the end which is disappointing as it doesn't feel like I've had the miles out of it yet.

Very good game though.
Close to the end as in you've been back to the castle, or close to the end you're nearing the lighthouse? I felt that it was a well structured game, but yes, it does come off as a bit short. That's not to say I didn't play more than the requisite eight hours in my first play through. The background of the world was pretty nice, though the Heart makes you feel bad at times. Stop killing the wales!

I never tried the multiplayer because I bought it pre-owned It never struck me as having a long term following sadly

Which is sad because it looked pretty fun...

Been playing a lot of ME3 multiplayer, really fantastic fun, love it all the way.
Playing some Warframe, but it's meh. It's free so I really can't complain. It has some good points, but it ends up just another mission in another bland tech-hallway shooting generic enemies. Like the samurai swords, though.
Also beat Metro 2033 finally, sweet game, really loved it, was so much fun even though it made my graphics card cry in pain. Really looking forward to the sequel, but I shan't be pre-ordering it.
Now playing LA Noire, quite amazing so far, just, wow. Like being in an interactive movie, the voice acting and faces are top shelf, without question. Also, cops can steal cars and not go to jail!?

All the KOTOR games are solid gold PC gaming right there, my friend. Loved every moment!

Not been playing a lot at the moment with Aura recuperating from wrist surgery, but had the odd go on Skyrim (loving the legendary update) and even a couple of new alts on WoW via a RP realm. My last go at the game, if RP doesn't catch my interest I think that will be me and MMO's until either World of Darkness arrives, or Titan gets a reveal and turns out to be something I might be interested in.

Just got through Kotor 2 playing as a dark Jedi. It was fun... till Chris Avellone started calling me out on my morals, then I just begrudgingly played the punch clock villain because I'd set out to be one. I think I'll give it another replay as a good character now though. Its a well constructed game (using the restored mod), though I'm hesitant to give it an immediate replay considering how involved it can be. Still, that wookie annoyed me, so I guess I want to see what Mira and the Handmaiden (because nobody's patched the gender thing yet) are like.
I would say though that the modded M4-78 was a big of a drag and something I wouldn't want to replay (though I'd do so anyway just to make the game feel more complete). ...I'm surprised just how boring the majority of that world felt, but I can accept that that's a result of the mod's author's not having much to work with. ......It still annoyed the hell out of me having to go through a world that was 80% fetch quests though. =)

I suspect you'll find that Chris A ain't all about the good characters, either. Part of the beauty of KotOR 2. He's discussed the game - guardedly - on various boards before, and it's not difficult to get the impression that he finds Star Wars' morality system ridiculously childish, and that KotOR 2 was an intentional deconstruction of the black-and-white heroes-and-villains take.

^^ Oh yeah, I'm just saying that by the end I felt like a complete tool, despite the game explaining that my character's actions were justified. Obsidian's my favorite developer and it waf nice to see their take of the game. Contrast it to the first one and you see Bioware's hollywood styling, compared to Obsidian making a more realistic (or at least ones with with more depth) set of characters.
