Just finished the MW3 campaign and am extremely close to finishing Black Ops 2. I didn't enjoy either of them and it just proves to me that you can make a bland, repetitive, predictable game and still make millions when you market it well.

MW3 SPOILERS:
Spoiler:
I must admit, however, right at the end when you hang the main enemy I said "Hang Around" and am still laughing about it now.

It was the "No Russian" mission in COD4. The one so brutal you could skip it if you wanted. It got them a lot of press and now they carry on like children acting out to get attention. The next game they blow up a kid in front of you, then they burn a little girl alive then smash her head open on a mirror. (all skippable scenes so they don't come off as jerks). I'm sure a child will be raped to death in the next one.

For the record, I enjoyed the airport massacre in MW2.
It reminded me of the old Amiga game "Lemmings" and the hours of fun I had trying to find awesome ways to splatter all of my lemmings. In many ways I never grew up.

I still think my favorite part of the Modern Warfare series was the mission "Whiskey Hotel". Seeing the White House in ruins and having to take it back from the Russians was such a huge "Whoa" factor for me.

Right sorry, I meant the CoD with the shooting in it.

Surely thats, err.... All of them, right?

I have to admit it was Black Ops 1 that put me off CoD, I enjoyed MW and MW2, but Black Ops just annoyed me, so I never got MW3, or BO2, and I'm probably not going to get Ghosts either. I still play CoD 2 quite a lot though, damn that's an awesome game!

Wow funny how I somehow managed to start a CoD discussion. When it comes to the games, the only real one that "put me off" was MW3 when I played online. I vowed only to pick them up for the story from then on, Black Ops 2 made me want to try the multiplayer again. Must say I'm enjoying playin FPS games again.

Now onto games I'm playing, picked up some indie games via various bundles so playing through them atm, some not so good and some very good games from em.

When the rich rage war it's the poor who die

You know I played Pandemic 2 but hell if I can remember it past that I can say though, PlagueINC is super fun. Its a typical freemium layout,so some things will take awhile to unlock if you don't fork out cash, but so far I've been on it for several hours total and still keep trying

I am, of course, playing Skyrim!

I think it's a game that I will legitimately never get bored of. There's not really anything else like it (other Bethesda games nonwithstanding), and mods just add a silly amount of new content.

Finally picked up the new Tomb Raider...and holy gak, I'm really loving it so far. Normally I'm not a big fan of button-mashing and QTEs, but it's been working really well so far.

The one thing I'm enjoying the best is Lara Croft's reaction to everything that's going on...they make it very clear that she's out of her element, and nothing like Nathan Drake or Indiana Jones (in terms of "adventuring archeologists").

Well congratulations and agreed! The game is a true gem me thinks. Also it had some rather nice enemies & challenges.

For the moment I am slugging my way trough Far Cry 3 for the fourth or fifth time. And my god this game gets so much more enjoyably when you ramp up the difficulty level

Oh man, you're not kidding. The first time I had to actually fight bad guys was definitely an eye-opener And I always find myself walking around looking for journals/artifacts and hunting animals.

How do you like it? I really enjoyed the first, and was hoping the sequel was even better/expanded upon.

Just beat Injustice for the iPhone, excited to see my prize for beating every level...and it's just unlocking the Superman Prison outfit for the console. Sigh. Enjoyed playing as Scorpion on the console though, seeing how he's not even officially out yet, but the trick to DL him works! Have season pass, download Doomsday update patch, download Scorpion from inside the game, not from marketplace. Waiting excitedly for the next TMNT game too.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Planetside 2, Blacklight: Retribution, and Doom 3. Before that was Skyrim and Dark Souls. Planetside 2 is pretty amazing. I started ranking in the top ten for kills on the west coast server playing infantry. I'm taking a break for awhile. That game is fun.

I honestly somewhat prefer Blacklight:Retribution to PS2. Planetside2's been fun since I got a computer that doesn't cry out in agony from trying to run the unoptimized PoS the Forgelight engine apparently is, but I just think the sheer customizability of Blacklight is superior.
