Indeed, but I have to say that Baldurs Gate 2 Shadow of Amn & Throne Of Baal is the best RPG ever made. On a sidenote what sort of party you normaly run when playing Icewind Dale?

I finally got out of the Fade.
Yus!
Yeah, I played through that enough... I have the Skip the Fade mod installed now. After 3-4 times I got really sick of it.
As far as my skyrim game, I am up to level 16, starting on the Dawnguard quest. I got the immersive partrols mod (on top of my other 117 or so I already had) and it's pretty cool. I was riding out of Whiterun to Solitude and stumbled upon 10 or so Stormcloaks murdering 5-6 Imperials along the road - the loot was quite a boon to my brand new character.
Along the way I have decided that my guy is the son of a mushroom farmer from Markarth - so he knows his way around mushroom (I won't grab any non mushrooms (or flowers, he likes flowers)), and his mother was a skooma addict, so he kills skooma dealers when and if he can. Other than that he is an honorable dude who joined the Vigil to do good works just in time for them to be murdered by vampires. In the quest to stand against the undead scourge he has begun experimenting with enchanting weapons, which he is dubious about (along with any other non resto magic) but he is coming to rely on it.

I always run mixed parties. Generally my party consists of 1 mage, cleric (sometimes a druid), fighter, paladin and thief plus either a ranger or a ranged fighter. I never dual/multi class.

I see, well I normaly take two figthers, a cleric, thief, mage and a paladin, I also tend to specialices the figthers in different weapons,, so I have a mixed bag of damage to dish out. In Icewind Dale 2 I have on the two latest play trougs run a pure Drow party, a bit challenging magic wise to begin with, but as you reach lvl 10 or so its just good times all around

I meant to play icewind dale or icewind dale 2. A previous landlord lent me the game but it just wouldn't run on my computer at the time. It pretty much crashed on start up. Too bad because I wish I could've played it.
I think all this talk has made me want to play skyrim though. Perhaps I should go with another playthrough of skyrim as another khajiit assassin type character. I never seem to finish the any of the 3 games I played. I didn't even really go through much of the main quest-line or the civil war quest-line. My character would often chase butterflies and pick daisies until I'd run into a cave. 3 hours fighting falmer and picking up dwarven stuff and I'm done with that. Then I go for another similar thing and there's an even longer quest which is completely not of the main story but incredibly long winded. Basically rinse and repeat till I'm level 60 and provoking a troll to attack me like some sort weirdo and then blocking damage with my shield and using healing spells so that I can level up my 'blocking' and 'armor' skills just so that I can still level up.

I've only recently gotten iwd, most of experience is with 2. I usually theme my parties to potentially disastrous results... I had a party of gnomes and halflings called seebo's shorties; a bunch of elf fighter/caster types, a rogue/wiz, sorcerer monk and so on...I think had a barbarian ranger and druid themed party too.
Kind of tempted by this all drow party...
I have definitely got the feeling that I want three melee friendly characters for the next run, even rock solid tanks fall short if stuff surrounds me, maybe a cleric for double duty.

Its definitly worth the try, running a all Drow party, but as I said. It can be a bit tricky with regards to magic early on. but several drow figthers with specialisation in a varied amount of weapons will ensure that you can still hack down most things you meet. Also remember to invest in both inteligence, constituion and dexterity before strengt. So that you can take a bit of a beating and resist certain magical attacks much better.
Also its worth mentioning that Drows get a bonus to most ranged weapons, and differnet sorts of swords if memory serves me correct.

I cheated and used the console to move to the Cloakwood mines. It seems to have worked, although I'm not sure if Kivan will still stick around though.

So, while CoH 2 dissapointed me greatly upon release, the Western Front stuff has made it quite a bit more enjoyable for me.
The big thing is the factions don't feel copy-pasted from CoH1. Sure, there's some shared elements to the old Panzer Elite and Commonwealth, but their pretty superficial. I'm enjoying myself with buildable King Tigers and glorious, glorious combat engineers with STG44s.
Now if only it didn't crash so often.

Therefore, I conclude, Valve should announce Half Life 2: Episode 3.

Guild Wars 2 is now even Guild Wars-ier with the release of their new living story! Which is... kinda underwhelming, actually. There's a new area to explore and some new events, but no new gear (new food types, though) and a brand new crazy Sylvari villain, because Scarlet was just soooo much fun we *had* to have another.
*Insert .gif of me strangling myself to death with my own intestines*
I really hope the living story gets better with the next chapter. Admittedly, Scarlett's storyline didn't get exciting until the Queen's Jubilee event, but I don't think I can wait that long for this one to impress me.

Yes. Bears are really scary as they can, due to their large force, knock you down and then maul you to death with 2 subsequent hits unless you wear a full set of Heavy Armor. This, however, isn't possible at start as you need to get used to Heavy Armor. Without proper experience, your stamina constantly decreases just by walking around in it!
Switched from THW to Sword&Board for now for additional protection and it really pays off.
And again: get a bow!
I cannot remember the last time I was so in love with a game. It is incredibly hard but satisfying. It feels so awesome to get your ass handed by a mere bandit at the start, but then, after a few hours, come back and kick his ass. Requiem de-levels the entire game thus all enemies stay at one level. I absolutely HATE the original solution where enemies level with you. It's unrealistic and stupid. You should FEEL more powerful the longer you play and that is why Requiem is so awesome - you don't become stronger merely because you have X more experience points. You become stronger because you FEEL stronger.
Oh, and don't follow the main quest line after talking to the Jarl of Windheim, you will get your ass handed by the Draugr. Left and right!

So, it turns into Morrowind? Where you think "Say, I'm gonna explore this cavern over here" and suddenly Dwarf Mechs in your face you have no chance to beat if you aren't badass enough?
I'm starting to feel like returning to Skyrim if it's like that

Precisely. No leveled enemies anymore - a lvl 11 Bandit Leader will always be a lvl 11 Bandit Leader. Try to get him at level 5 with a Steel Sword? Not a single chance. Come back at level 8 and you might have a fighting chance. Come back at lvl 15 and you can mob the ground with him.
Combat is FAR more dangerous too as the AI has been vastly improved. They effectively parry, block and powerattack you now. They run to get backup, make use of traps and will try to outflank (more often). Two enemies at the same time at your level will most likely result in instant death. If you are low on stamina and an enemy hits you, you are likely to be disarmed. Bows will break when hit in melee. Too many changes to list but Skyrim is so awesome. It's incredibly brutal and unforgiving and "hard" games like Dark Souls are a joke against it. But the payoff is so damn well. I am in love ith the game!

Think I may need to check out the Requim mod for Skyrim, been so long since I've played it. Though I do have Skyrim Redone so must be one or the other I guess.
Been playing Assassins Creed 3, its fairly decent. I just feel a bit bored with the combat though, even with the basic weapons its too easy. Heck just give me the hidden blade and I can win! Think I've still got a bit to go before moving onto Black Flag.

The random alternate start mod for skyrim is cool, first guy got jumped by one of those thieves who wants your money or attacks, barely survived with the stock gear. The next guy started by the word wall with the voice throw shout, and almost got eaten by the lich or priest or whatever it is that spawns there.
Gonna see about using their class mod too, sets things up a little more like oblivion i think, and then the survival oriented iNeed comes next. Automatically Appended Next Post: Oh and sneak attack spells, forget the name, but i've wanted that forever and ever, should be a blast.

Playing through The Wolf Among Us. Though I'm not sure "playing" is the right word. While it's certainly an interesting experience, I don't think two or three quicktime event sequences per episode really qualifies as a "game."
Also trying to choose between Blackguards and Divinity: Original Sin for my RPG fix. Going to buy one of them, just haven't determined which.
