Oh god Arena. You know it took me two days to figure out how to cast spells? And those stupid rats, just hanging out on ledges waiting for you to try to climb up.
Loved how the weapon controls were actually bound to the motions of the mouse, though. That's something that I think would have been neat to expand on in the series- would've made the Elder Scrolls an awesome game to Occulus/modified wii-mote VR stuff. You know, forefront of gaming and all that.

Still, I find it hilarious that after all GW's advertising and pushing and babying of their 'flagship' Spess Mehrines, the thing they've created with the most societal clout... Is ORKZ.

Thats because they don't mess with the Orks as much, so it has less of a chance of being ruined.
Right now Im not really playing anything, as it is a bit of a dry spell in PC gaming releases. (I mean GOOD PC releases. Risen 3 isn't good.)

It took me a week of play (keeping in mind that this was during school nights at grade school at the time) just to get out of Daggerfall's first dungeon.
Aside from Total Annihilation, that was the game I spent the most playing, followed closely by Might and Magic: Gates to Another World and Quake 2/3.

Kinda diggin Insurgency at the moment. I suck hard core, but every now and again I'm a stone cold killer that dominates the enemy, and sometimes my own team when friendly fire is on.

I was so pumped for the entire suicide mission, really well done piece.
After seeing that the final boss is a robot shooter from the 90s, I felt like flying to Bioware and kicking them in the nuts.
Bioware needs to learn how to end games :/

It was a drop point, yes, but at that point I was so stimmed on the epicness so I lacked the consciousness to notice.
The build-up, the mood, the music, it was so perfect!

For some reason, I find myself unable to play anything else than a Paragon.
Going around doing stupid things and generally being a dick to everyone just does not feel like something Shepard would do, and taking a middle road punishes you a lot since in most cases you will lose out a lot of charm/intimidate advantages.
Advantages that are very significant, I'll add!

Been playing Warframe again (had a 10 hour binge on it today) It much better than what I remember, yes its very grindy and the PVP aspect can be seen as Pay2Win as you can buy credits and such but its 90% PVE co-op so having people sink a load of money can be somewhat beneficial for you as a group.
Still a long way to go before I get the Warframe I want, you get 3 pieces for each Warframe from a boss in a certain area, low and behold that I need to do a boss you can only access by getting 1-use keys for. Still, its great fun getting up to that point.

Warframe is a PvE game with PvP hamfistedly forced in to it, really.

Going through the Gears Of War trilogy, both Split Screen (with my bro) and single player. I'd forgotten how much I really liked these games....
Also grinding through Forza Motorsport 3 and Torchlight 2, when I have the time and I'm not playing Hearthstone that is.

Go Arcane Warrior, it's hilariously broken! You end up being an unstoppable killing machine that easily wrecks any enemy.

Aye. It gets even better with the Arcane Warrior specialization. more armor than a tank, full plate, THW, increased damage...you just mow through the enemies.

I stranded on my first playthrough as a warrior. I ended up without health poultices in Denerim, without any healer.

Actually Dakka isn't a 40k invention. England used it in WWII when talking about machine guns.
If you watch Blood Diamond, Leonardo DiCaprio is phoning for an attack helicopter and says "Bring the dakka dakka." He isn't referencing Warhammer 40k.
Edit: Also watch "The Battle of Britain."

Oh dear, that could not have been fun. I suppose its a reason I always end up playing Dwarfs in Dragon Age games, noting like barreling trough the hordes of evil minions wit plate mail, axe and a snazzy amount of magical goodness too

Yeah, the one thing I found sort of annoying about the paragon/renegade system was that it penalizes you for being reasonable. "No, it's not ok that he shot that guy, but I would've done the same thing in his shoes." sort of choice versus "You shot someone! OH MY GOD! Call the authorities, let's start a charity, #someonehelp" and "You shot that guy? Pffft. I would've shot him because of his pants. Pants that color deserve death. I've killed kittens because they meowed at me. Also, you're ugly."
But I'm with you on the overall feel of the game, ME2 was awesome.

It's a very good example of poor and lazy writing. You pointed out the exact flaw: being "evil" means being evil for evil's sake. Which is stupid. To me, the "evil" solution should be a more pragmatic approach. While Paragon is the "I will do everything you ask of me!" type, "Renegade" should be "I have a goal. I will do anything to achieve it, even if it takes downing some civilians.". Even a Renegade wants to save the galaxy and how does killing a bystander for no reason contribute to achieving said goal?
The main problem is the downright idiotic Good / Evil system. A good game should remove it completely. Make EVERY decision a DECISION with its own consequences instead of making every decision a "+X blue points" or "+X red points" choice.
