Heh, that reminds me I saw whoever that guy is in the orange pants with the white mask and glowy blue eyes stalking around at GenCon, definitely in-character, sort of creepy!
I can relate to the daughter keeping one from playing games, it's well enough, kind of gets me to squeeze in mini hobby projects while she's occupied with playdoh.

Oh...the joys of painting miniatures and children! Last year, our daughter accidentally threw a puppet and hit two a box of Khorne Red I opened a second ago. Turns out, white carpet and paint don't like each other...she was so sorry she almost cried when this happened :( Comforted her, of course, not her fault and...well, white carpet wasn't too bright of an idea. It's been cleaned, though, and all paint has been removed

I can't wait to get my Reaper Bones stuff, get her a paintbrush and let her do her worst Then I get to paint too!
Might have to reinvest into a console of some type so she can play video games with us too, PC is probably kind of hard with little fingers.

My character, Ashiraya Sunblade, is imprisoned by the Argent Crusade and awaiting judgment. A big public trial event will be held on the 19th - 21st. She is accused of committing various terrible crimes in the guise of the 'Black Queen'.
In any normal situation, execution would be the guaranteed result, but this is not a normal situation and there are a few things working in her favour. For example, the fact that she sought out the Argent Crusade and surrendered willingly, to the surprise of the Crusaders.
Woop. Ashiraya survived the trial.
The story goes on.
Wow, an actual RP on a RP server in WoW...color me shocked. I tried the RP thing when I first started playing back in launch, ended up getting propositioned by several different male Night Elves within the first hour of play.
Hint: It's blue, shocked is always blue.
Also, I finally installed CoH and it's respective addons and I'm in love. I think this game excels with the limits of squad based/small team based combat more so than the DoW II series did; despite that series being awesome. I'm not terribly excited about the German expansion, as the forces of goodness and light would end up being my enemies, but I may just suck it up to see how the other side lives.
Additionally, reinstalled Doom 3, (which I might have mentioned a post or two back), it's still terrifying.

I've been playing Civilization V for the last couple of days. I've had the vanilla one for quite a long time and already had about 50 hours into it. But because Steam sales I got the DLC I was missing.
It's so much better! I should have got them ages ago.
I put another 10 hours into the game yesterday and I barely even noticed the passage of time.
I'm going to take advantage of the bank holiday here and play it some more now, but hopefully not for as long, because I have models I want to paint!

X-com. Got it on PS Plus a few months ago but only just got round to playing it. I'm not sure if it's easier than the 90s game or if I've just gotten better at squad tactics. I hope its the latter but I suspect its the former.

I have been playing Unturned because I saw it on steam.
I like that its a cross of Minecraft and DayZ.
it is a fun little game with crafting and survival.
The more I play the game the more I learn.
Yesterday I learned that landmines are like ladders, once you place them you use them by walking backwards.

I picked up Enemy Within for XCOM as it was one sale, and installed the Long War mod.
The mod changes a lot of things, for the better, but there's still one thing that pisses me off; Terror Missions.
There's a few reasons for this; 1) Chrysalids, 2)Chrysalids, 3)Chrysalids and 4)Chrysalids using their free activation movement to run right at you.
There's also the matter of how slowed the civilian AI is, and how they usually start clustered together on the far side of the map surrounded by chrysalids.
I also got two terror missions in a row in Mexico, which was kind of annoying, as now I can't get the Air and Space bonus, though Long War has the ability to reclaim lost countries; they're kind of mum on the mechanic, but it's probably tied to a research level and so on.
|
Therefore, I conclude, Valve should announce Half Life 2: Episode 3.

RE: Fallen London.
Ingrid Glynn keeps rising in The Great Game, moved into a new room a week ago and comes closer to Persuasive 100. She has about 5 sex affairs running with one of them essentially being an on-off-relationship.
Ingrid Glynn is best known for being seen 8 times a day at church (to reduce her Scandal) and drinking about 10 bottles of wine each day to lessen her worrying Nightmares.
She also wrote a few short stories and now possesses a good amount of about 280 Echos.
Sex, drugs, money and secrets!

Still playing World Of Tanks, been focusing on the German and French tech tree, although the snail like pace of the French tanks are almost unbearebal. When I get out of the start zone the game is either won or lost most time, and well at least I have good armour and a decent gun most times.

Still Playing CIV 3. I have enough Nukes to hit every major city in the world. I know the USA and the Incan Empire have a similar sized arsenal. New Zealand according to my spies, still has the most nukes. My people abandoned democracy many years ago and we are now a communist state. Science has stopped advancing as the threat of the apocalypse draws ever closer. Very little oil left. I had to fight a war against china for some oil as mine all dried out. Aluminium is also running out, so building Nukes while I can is of prime importance. So far, its a stale mate. Its not a nice time to be human in the year 2400 (or something similar). Soon, resources will be gone (just have to hope that some more sources are found) and many will perish in the nuclear horrors to come.

Im trying to play this one save for as long as possible. One guy played CIV 2 for 10 years and the results where impressive.
Plus the world has one thing going for it. We have prevented any signs of global warming through massive amounts of money and work being put into clean energy and recycling etc. I know Global warming is still coming, but its not a huge issue yet. This is my last hope in humanity in that world.
Plus the mongols are still in the ancient era, I have hopes that they will rise from their tiny island and become a beacon of hope. Their leader is a jerk though, always starting wars, so maybe there isnt hope there.
I am tempted to launch the nukes first. But given we all have satellites to defend against nukes, I think I need more nukes.
Soon, I will push the launch button and sign the death papers of 100s of millions of people. But not yet...

I ensure you, it will happen soon. A few test nukes have been fired by our nations about 60 years ago game time. a quarter of the nukes launched made it to their targets. The results were devastating. I cant imagine what the arsenal we have now would do. I had 8 nukes during the first nuclear war. Now I have 30+ at LEAST. Once the second one starts it wont end for a long time.

Also, feth Chrysalids. feth them all. I forget which perk it is, but having overwatch snipers with two shots makes terror missions comically easy.

I would but honestly my reputation among the world would be forever tarnished. Its one thing Nuking the super power of the world, its another thing nuking a nation on a small island with 4 cities left in its control.
Plus they bravely landed 3 galleys on my beach about 100 years ago. The horsemen poured onto my shore only to be defeated by my tanks.
I consider them brave enough to leave alive for now...
Also horses are their only resource. Honestly, its not even worth invading them.

Aye, but in Long War, Chrysalids can't be overwatched - 90% dodge chance.
I also just faced my first Exalt mission.
27 fething dudes. 27. And their rocket launcher always managed to direct hit at least two of my guys, scoring 9+ damage, killing them instantly, while mine is lucky to even hit the general area I'm aiming at.
I'm on attempt #12 before I just said feth it, I'll come back to this later. I usually don't save-scum, but this is slowed.
