Congrats!

And I think it's less you and more the fact that the game pretty much expects you to get out of the plane by jumping.

Thank you.

And to be fair to the game, that is a reasonable expectation.

My first near success at landing was pretty fun, in that it involved me feeling quite pleased at having touched down, and then staring as the plane skidded off the edge of a cliff. Good times!

It's worth trying! It might not seem as fun as exploding in a fiery wreck, but it's pretty neat to get one of those big cargo planes to glide safely to the ground.

Plus, if it doesn't glide safely, you get to explode in a fiery wreck.

In-game? Or...?

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Definitely. Not something I'd want to repeat after doing once mind you, but it's a good test of skill, and the game's controls are responsive enough that it's actually skill and not patience that's being tested.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

I've been playing Tactics Ogre: Let us Cling Together. Something that's been on my to-play list for a very long time now. Enjoying the heck out of it. I'm especially enjoying the localization which was done in the same deliciously overwritten style as FF12 and the newer versions of FFT.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=e5B2_CMJlQ0#t=750 (spoiler warning f0r the first couple hours of the game)

Seriously, I eat that gak up with a spoon. I could not be enjoying it more if I tried.

That weather is a little overpowering but it looks fun. I've been playing the heck out of FFT(ps). War of the Lions definitely sounded more i dunno grandiose in terms of nomenclature?

Kill them all, because your lord Demands it! Har! May have to give that a look later on.

Played Crusader Kings 2's free weekend for a little bit... has potential, but iunno. takes too long for a smaller kingdom or a vassal to be able to do anything, and I'm not sure I want to pla ya bigger one given the complexity...

No, no. It's like an old SNES game that's had several remakes. I don't know if any of the other versions made it outside japan though.

Eh, that's not bad, actually.
10-20GB is fine; XCOM is about 20 gigs, and that has quite a few assets.

It's games that are 40 gigabytes in size with nothing to show for it that's a problem.

Thanks for the heads-up. The purchase worked without problems and took about 10-20 minutes until i got the cd-key for steam.

Growing up, I had the AWESOME connection speed of a 56k modem (meaning it went up to 56k, not that you necessarily got all that... just as today, even though I'm paying for a 10Mb connection, I don't get 10Mb speed all the time)

There was a PS1 version a while back. That's the one I have, and I play it off and on. I love the "hidden" character classes, like the Lich and Angel Knight, and have fond memories of the first time one of my favorite healers died to an arrow shot, only to respawn in a column of white light, sporting wings and a halo.

There is not this idea.

About once a year, a dark and unholy urge comes upon me.

It is impossible to resist.

I have reinstalled the Sims 3.

The thing of it is, my favorite part of the game is making new houses. If someone made a house and town creation sim game, I would probably not leave my computer for weeks.
