Yeah the current BB games have "blitz" mode but from what footage of it I've seen it looks like just an uncontrollable mess with all 22 players moving in real time including all their actions, it is not being included in BB2 when it comes out

Got back in to Terraria, just because. Gonna have to look up the various patch notes to see what was added in the past two or three months since I last played....

I'm still waiting for them to bring back the Halloween events in GW2. Yeah, they brought back the Halloween outfits in the gem store, but I'm more interested in the events and stuff.

I want to mine candy corn and punch ghosts until they drop cheap plastic fangs!

Never even had the chance. It was a brand new fort, and I'd just appointed her militia commander. Didn't even pick up the axe I assigned her, just bam! Off strangling turtles.

Played a bit more of xcom: enemy within'. I played the 2nd last exalt mission (narrowed the exalt base down to one location) and then i assaulted the exalt base and destroyed it nearly without taking a wound. I think i only received 5-6 damage on one of my guys. I'm not sure what's with these guys but they're abnormally stupid. They are rather hard if you spot too many patrols at once and pretty much opt out firing for a turn. That said you can just utterly destroy them in many cases.

If anybody wants to play 'xcom: enemy within' or even possibly 'enemy unknown' hit me up on steam.

Just started playing Diablo 3 again after a long break of no video games... and I'm seriously flirting with the prospect of playing WoW again.

Good timing, if you don't mind paying for a new expansion soon. I almost consider that from time to time but I know it won't work out for me personally.

Found out 2 things:

1) In System Shock 2, even if an enemy is right next to you, it will not know where you are as long as you're standing on a table. I made it through an entire security alert without anyone coming simply because I decided to stand on a table.

2) In Blood Bowl: CPU Team + CPU Team + Real-Time Mode = Hilarity.

Had some cash left in my US PSN account so picked up persona 4 and Suikoden. Started playing persona 4 for the first time and it seems interesting. I finished Suikoden as a kid and want to replay it to get all the characters but never played Suikoden 2. Might have to emulate.

Already bought it when it was first announced and then quit (again) shortly afterwards.

Playin' Payday 2 cause free weekend.

I've got to say though, I can't really think of anything in Dragon Age that seems particularly GW-ish (although the designers do play Fantasy, I remember them talking about a League for it once, probably started by the WAR guys), but instead Dragon Age owes a lot to Game of Thrones.

Oh, it's worth saying, even though it's mentioned in the actual Dragon Age thread right now. Dragon Age: Origins is now available for free this week on, well... EA Origin.

I don't agree with that. The DA universe is very Warhammer like. The Fade is exactly like the Warp. The demon-fade-Mage connection is exactly like the daemon-warp-psyker connection. The Templars serve the same purpose as the inquisition. The next game is even called inquisition.

EverQuest, right? I have to say, I'm hopeful looking forward at what Next may bring to the table in terms of player agency to shape the world.

Got my main squad killed in xcom: enemy within after facing a d**ned supply barge landing. I had lost my heavy colonel in an earlier mission to crap. For some reason the hit generator is working heavily in the aliens favor when the last few times they seemed rather stupid or possibly it's just EXALT.

I ended up facing down and killing 2 'enemy within' sectopods (much tougher), 2 or 3 mechtoids, various mutons, 2-3 berserkers and at least a sectoid commander. Killed about 17 dudes and then when i have 2 guys left my sniper decides the best and shortest path between an area is running through doors with enemies behind them. Nothing was in the area and she could've gone all the way around to maintain stealth so i'd be ready. Instead she alerts them, i can't shoot and 3 sectoid commanders have their way with my *ss. It was rather un-fun.

Anyway if anybody on here wants to play some 'xcom: enemy within' with me my steam name is:

It has a picture of a doom flayer skaven weapons team on my avatar. You might ask why i'd use such a crappy unit not only being a weapons team but being the worst and that reason is i thought it was a cool looking model. 2 clanrats hellbent on destruction. That just sounds like fun to me. I mean just look at the dude on top having the time of his life while the other dude looks like he's ready to stab him in the back. Awesome.

Yessir. The girlfriend's computer was down for a while, and we got it up and running last week. Been playing every night since

I'm also super excited for Next, but kinda bummed that Sarnaks were dropped as a playable race. I love my Sarnak Shadowknight.

If I remember correctly, Next is just starting with the original core areas (though they apparently still have Vah Shir...). I wouldn't be surprised if Sarnaks show up again as soon as the first expansion hits.

I need to upgrade my computer first, though...

I assume you're thinking of the Iksar, and not the Sarnak?

At this point you shouldn't completely rule out the possibility of Iksar at launch, even if Kunark isn't included. iirc, the Everquest RTS included a group of shipwrecked Iksar. So it's possible that something like that will be used to justify their presence in Antonica.

AFAIK, the list of launch races hasn't been firmed down yet.

Slacked off in the gaming department as of late, the exceptions being MWO and Destiny but even then it's only maybe a couple hours a day I play either (Destiny's multiplayer is some of the most frustrating I've ever played and MWO is...well, MWO.)

Been considering another Mass Effect 1-3 playthrough but I can't get up the energy to start a ME1 Shepard again...the weapon and skill systems in that one sucked.

Until you spend time doing a mission only for one of them to get glitched into a wall and have the mission be unable to be completed without abandoning it... That kinda killed the enthusiasm.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.
