So, I tried to install MechCommander Gold this morning and failed miserably...it appears that I'll have to bust out a 32 bit processor based PC in order to play.

Just finished up 'shadowrun returns: dragonfall'. It was a fun run but for some reason i prefer the main game of shadowrun returns. With the exception of BUGGGGGGGGSSSSS!!! i really enjoyed the base game more than the expansion.

My Dragonfall run i used a shaman (some elf that had a somewhat sleazy look and the look of some hot shot) and in the base game i used a decker (that looked like vin diesel in 'chronicles of riddick').

I think i'll do another run of the base game of 'shadowrun returns' and use a spirit based close combat fighter the next time. I am rather curious about using riggers though as i actually didn't really use one much before.

--------

Ok so i started with a spirit based melee dude (dwarf) in the normal game. So far it seems pretty cool. His damage just in melee have seemed fairly potent already just at the start.

X-Wing from 1993. Gawd, I forgot how difficult that is to play without a joystick. Might have to get myself a cheap, 2 button stick tonight and see if I can't improve.

Great game though, can't wait to ghet deeper in as I only had time to play the first level of pilot training and the first couple of missions. Brought back some fond memories of transferring power from lasers to shields to beef up the shields. (Lasers recharge faster so it makes sense to have them recharge at the highest rate and transfer power from them to the other systems manually as required.)

It'll take Marilyn Monroe, and Lao-Tzu, and Einstein, and Morobuto, and Buddy Holly, and Aristophanes…then all of this…all of this…was for nothing. Unless we go to the stars." Is it any good? All of the 'most helpful' reviews on steam say it's bad. Funny thing is all the game sites say it's good (though they're all bought and paid to say so). I think one complaint in a customer review i saw was after the first 100 turns it wasn't fun anymore. That seems to be the same case with you.

I'm kind of wanting to play shadowrun online but i'm afraid about it still being in early access. I also have yet to play galactic civilizations after it first went into beta and still felt very alpha build. This early access nonsense just scares me away from games. I'd rather be playing the real deal when it's fully done.

-----------

Been playing shadowrun returns with the adept with chi casting and melee combat. It's funny to punch stuff to death but it's a little boring to only use my fists. Had a little trouble against the troll with the cybernetic arm last time. The base game is different that when you die trauma kits don't auto revive you or perhaps it's because i ramped up the difficulty to hardest.

More often i've been playing warhammer fantasy. Still have yet to really get back into my groove with it. Perhaps jezzails would help a ton. I don't really ever have any money to buy stuff though. It sucks to be poor.

Dark Souls 1 after the sequel, i'm really missing all the little conveniences the sequel added/improved on but it's clear fairly early on that this is the superior game, apart from the visuals if not art design.

Dark souls 1 was fantastic! I hated it at first, then it grew on me, then I fel in love with it and beat it twice to get both endings.

I bought BF4 for PC yesterday, It looked good, and it was on sale. I don't do many shooters, but this is fun. Apparently I'm the only person that enjoyed the single player campaign .

I'd give it a mixed review right now. The gameplay is relatively solid, but it seems like it's not much different from Civ V. There's not a lot of variety in the game's progression that I've found so far. Yes, you can go for Purity, or Supremacy, or Harmony, but they don't seem to change all that much apart from the appearance of units and which victory to go for. And the factions are flat and dull.

But I'm still enjoying it over all, and I haven't finished a game yet, so it's entirely possible my opinions are off. One of the other people here I'm sure could tell you more.

The most fun I had with it was when I tried to role-play a bit, really. I named my faction "The New Crown Lands" or something, and decided they were a coalition of royalists trying to start a new kingdom on the world based on myths about Charlemagne. Mainly it came down to acting imperious towards the other factions, "taming" the wildlife (Harmony) so that the nobles could hunt it on their private game preserves, and leaving wide swaths of forest untouched (for those game preserves.) I don't know. That's the sort of thing I like to do.

Reinstalled Mechwarrior 4: Vengeance, Black Knight, and Mercenaries recently...man it's dated but still a blast. The live acting intro for Vengeance still get's me pumped up; Sigma Leader is a beast. A suicide fight. But a beast nonetheless.

Pretty much the original game with some tweaks? Is it like BG1 enhanced with the change in classes/kits? Extra characters?

I actually missed that one (and planescape: torment) back in the day so I'm curious to try it. IWD2 was always fun.
