I like assault personally. I have horrible aim so I generally just act as medic.

My aim's alright enough. I mostly have trouble getting in range, because LMG accuracy is so.. eh.

I've only gotten to the point where I unlock the second LMG in it. I like the first one though. Shorter reload.

I just don't understand Rome 2: Total War's naval battles.

I have a large fleet of decent ships, against the same number of enemy 'raiding hermioles' which as far as I can tell are the worst ship in the game.

My scorpion ships don't fire until they're nearly in combat range, my entire fleet gets wiped out, there's still 12 enemy ships left. - Including multiple which apparently have taken 100% fire damage and 106%(!!!!) hull damage.

@Compel: Well that's your problem right there. You're playing Rome 2: Total War.

I don't know how the game actually is though.

How about you stop being such a unbearable commenter

On topic ;

Well you need ships designed for ship to ship action, instead of just a fleet of pure sige ships. I normaly have the following mixture : 50% boarding ships, 20% long range sige ships and 10 normal ranged ships of some sort. Works well for me, should work for you too

What got under your skin sheesh? I didn't even say anything harsh to anybody so if you have a problem take it offline.

My joke was that Rome 2: Total War has bugs. If you couldn't get that and instantly turn it into a fight then your first problem is yourself.

I used to do that a lot lol. I think towards the end of my time with MW2 (which is about the last FPS I played online or in general... no time to get good at them) I started taking a much more cautious approach and maybe only got 5-10 kills but with *much* fewer deaths. Really depends on the mission as to if that matters or not. Team deathmatch with respawns and victory based on reaching a set number first... ratio is important. Take and hold with respawns? Die constantly, hold the points anyway

I will say, the 64 player servers can be very entertaining. Theres usually only 1-2 running though. And there will probably be a big drop-off once hardline is released, although probebly no as much as a numbered release.

It always sucks when your FPS iterates and you can't or don't want to pick up the new title. MW2 became a ghost town with only a few too-good players left for the most part. Seems like there were still people playing it while blackops was out but the MW3 saw them all done.

I like the new Starbound, but it does feel a little bit too slow. Ores are obnoxiously far down for how slow it is to mine.

I've been playing a good bit of 'Wargame: Red Dragon'. I'm surprised how some of the campaign isn't straightforward at all. It would've been nice if they told me how to do each thing.

The current campaign section i'm playing has to do with holding what remains of south korea when north korea invades. Basically you're holding off with south korea until reinforcements from the usa can come in and take back seoul.

There is not this idea.

Somehow I played Spore again!

Spore was the game that taught me the lesson to always do my research, and to be cautious about hype. But I think it's a decent game, overall. There's nothing that makes the tribal section fun for me, though.

What I always wanted was a mod that could drastically reduce the number of space-faring people, so that I could explore planets to my hearts content, without worrying about empire management.

Still playing Prophesy of Pendor. Decided to do the vassal thing. It's cool having my own town, intriguing lords, and courting ladies and all... I just wish I could get these knuckleheads to do what I want more often. If I find a good place to take over they decide to appoint a marshal and follow him around in circles. If I manage to get them all to follow me to siege a town... the enemy has a larger force that comes galloumphing by. Oh well. Kills time.

Honestly, Mods would make Spore fantastic. It could allow for the level of progression the game was initially meant to have, and do things like tweak the creature creation engine to not penalize stuff like full armour coverage or tons of limbs- which is something I never understood- if you only get the part bonus for the first part of that type you add, why do additonal copies of that part cost the same in DNA? I so wanted to make a centipede or crab species, but adding more than 4 legs was just too expensive.

GENERATION 8: The first time you see this, copy and paste it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation. Consider it a social experiment.

Yeah, the limitations on the creature creation are a big frustration. So much of Spore is good ideas, poorly or half-heartedly executed.
