It's kind of a recurring theme with westwood and petroglyph though. They never know how to balance a third faction. Usually they make one faction really interesting and unique in comparison to the other factions and then they make that faction OP. Either that or they just give one faction some uber vehicle that can counter anything and when spammed is hard to stop.

No I'm not kidding.

Ok, it may have not been the actual Death Star, but as soon as I had done a detailed surface scan, I got out of there before it had a chance to fire at me so I'm not 100% certain.

It shows up as a small planet, 428kM in raduis with a composition of 100% METAL!

So I'm hightailing it back to Empire space to sell them the blueprints!

They die pretty easily to anti tank if i remember.

Just be glad it isn't mptl rocket artillery spam. I never knew how to counter that besides bombing runs. Scout speeders just die too quickly. Somebody mentioned a good counter was actually AT-AA's with their radar jamming ability messing with the rockets.

I started up BF4 on a whim, and I think PS2 has rather ruined me for PvP FPSs. 32v32 is nothing when compared to the 150+ on a single base feth-fests on some PS2 fights, and the abilities (invisibility, jetpacks, ect) really mix up the game a lot. Honestly, it't too bad PS2 maps are so flat. I'd love to see maps that took more advantage of the vertical movement you have available to you in PS2.

Been playing Guns of Icarus online. I love that game to bits (in my top 10, if not top 5), but it's sad to see how few people play it. It's like an average of 147 players at one time, which is why the term "Lobbies of Icarus" is a term. But at the same time, the community is amazing, and it's nice to see a game that relies on teams working together. The devs are still supporting it though, and they do have plans to expand, so there is still hope.

I need to get back into Guns of Icarus. Me and a couple buddies were playing together for a while, and I agree that the community is pretty awesome. There's just... something missing from it, though. I don't know what. Maybe (and this is speaking as a Pilot, primarily) better feedback on actions would help- I remember when I played I kept lighting the envelope and engines on fire because I couldn't tell when my 'specials' were actually having an effect or when that effect ended. It would have been nice if the ships would rock in reaction to impacts, too.

Started playing xenonauts again. I should probably finish up the shogun 2: fall of the samurai game and the xcom: enemy within game from a while ago (the impossible ironman one). I was close to beating both but in both games it started getting tedious since there's not much that can stop you when you're doing really well end-game. Even if i was to lose my A-team in xcom it's infuriate me but the game would not be lost. I know i can beat it at this point on impossible ironman. It's just a matter of putting neural dampening on all my A-team guys. As far as shogun 2: fall of the samurai goes i just need like 5 more territories and i'm the strongest power in all of japan. All the worthwhile people are now on my side and i've weakened every opponent to the shogun so much there's nothing they can do. I have about 6-8 years left in the game before it ends and i lose but each season in fall of the samurai is divided into like 4 turns so basically i have 96-128 turns left to finish the game and win and i only really need about 10 if i really want to speed things up.

So yeah got bored and fired up xenonauts. Not really much else to say.

Is anybody looking forward to Galactic Civilizations 3 or is it just me? It's supposed to be out in like 9 days. Apparently one of the achievements at game start is freeing arcea (probably with the humans i guess).

Thanks. Earned over 100K credits just for that one planet scan. That's more than I get for most systems. Still, need over 150M more to get my "Elite" status. :(

Replaying Final Fantasy XIII on steam, to compare it to the PS3 version.

Have to say, actually knowing the jargon and game mechanics off the bat makes the game much more fun.

Samurai mod, huh? Who would have expected that from you, eh Carlos? Is it just a reskin for the gear and weapons or does it include updated campaign action too>?

Playing Ori and Blind Forest. Wich surprising as I hated Super Meat boy and Ori resembles it quite a bit. For some reason playing Ori I'm not so frustrated with hard platformer sections.

Its pretty good as far as mods go. Weapons are different, Lorsd/kings are different, town names have changed and castles look suitably japanese they also have changed the map.

Right now Noble..ish Samurai Akiyama and his band of 40 or so assorted Peasants, Ashigaru and Samurai paid for by tournament wins are working for Uesugi Kenshin, fighting the Takeda and Date Clans. At his side is a wandering swordsman called Musashi, a wandering monk, a Chinese pirate and a horse thief.

I haven't got there yet. Looks like a pain of a fight though...

I had just gotten to Sens fortress in ng+ on DS1 (after spending way to much time PVPing in the second darkroot area) while also finishing up the DLC for DS2 on playstation 3 when i got PS4 with bloodborne and scholar of first sin. Now i'm alternating between all four so its slow go lol.

Bloodborne is deliciously fast paced though which is nice as I have been able to move through the optional content up to Forbidden Woods which I am almost finished with quicker than I have been able to go through as many levels in the Souls games even though, I've played through those levels many times before.

I know i complained about 'The Witcher' series but is anybody else aware there's a weekend deal on it for 85% off? Seriously the first game is $1.50 USD and the 2nd is $3 USD. It's a total steal. The adventure game doesn't cost much either.

It's too bad i'd have to throw down like 20 USD for a steam card. Not to mention i'm waiting till 'Endless Legend' goes on another steam sale if at all possible.

So now Aykiyama the Samurai has been gifted a castle on the border between the Uesugi lands and the Takeda lands who they are at war with. Everytime he leave the castle to go do something else the castle gets retaken by the Takeda forces and then I have to go gather some allies and fight for it again. Need build a garrison to help defend the castle but that involves a lot more money to fund it than he can afford at the moment.

I picked up Hatoful Boyfriend today on Steam at -75%

It was an emotional roller coaster to say the least. It's a fantastic character drama disguised as a dating sim. It's hard to compare it to anything, and my knowledge of such games isn't great, but I think that if you like To The Moon, you will like this.

Won a promised land victory, which honestly got a bit dull towards the end. Just settling people here and there until the screen said "Victory!"

Went back to Agarest: Generations of War. So...many...battles... And they aren't really short either. Much shorter than something like final fantasy tactics, but way longer than a typical/classical RPG fight. DLC equipment starting to taper off and boss fights are coming down to relying on the 'can't get hit' mechanics and supermoves of certain characters. Want to finish it though, I didn't grind through 4 other generations to stop now! Just gotta take it in small-moderate doses so I don't burn out again. Last chapter is mostly/only fighting so far though.
