Decided to ggive Ghost Recon Future soldier a try..... DEAR LORD how bad this game is, the sole exception to this is the mission where you infiltrate a russian maxium security prison.

Hooboy... lots of mat farming? I left that behind me in my MMO days, I do not want it in other RPGs. I guess I'll stick to my bgs iwds and posibly nwns...

Speaking of that... I guess there's to be a new 'lost chapter' style Baldur's Gate? Dragonspear something something? That could be pretty fun, even got Minsc right in the trailer. Would make sense if they stuck it between TotSC and SoA, since there was a vaguely 'they kept adventuring and were eventually captured by dudes in the night' thing going on.

To be honest, you don't have to do much of the materials farming. I think the only potions I ended up using during my playthrough were healing, mana and regeneration... And you could get those upgraded almost incidentally.

Agreed, those games have been a mainstay of my gaming life since they first came out. If they where to release any new content it would be best suited as a Dlc or something along those lines

I recently got my hands on a controller, so I've been playing lots of skullgirls. I never really played fighting games (other than SSB, but I don't think that counts) , but I loved the aesthetic, and the review I watched said it was a good starter. It's lots of fun

I hope it's a bit smoother than play 1, export to play new game, export to play bg2+... Although that's all you really did for BG1-2 just import from your save. I think they made a mod to put them together a little better but I dunno that BG1-2EE did any of that.

It *is* the same guys that just did the EE's, so surely they've had this in the works and it will hopefully be somewhat streamlined... Looking forward to seeing more from some of my old favorites, and having yet more oldschool D&D adventures

Speaking of which...I know its a little off topic (i.e. not Video Games), but I'm putting together some "2.5D" D&D tiles out of cardboard right now. Hoping to get a D&D 5th Ed campaign going at my local club sometime in the next month.

That stuff is pretty sweet. I think I prefer full on 3d though as it makes (potentially) for better photos. Obvs I mostly build and photograph models and rarely get to play so...

2.5D is more playable though, with 4+ people around a table. Makes it easier for everyone to see whats going on.

Plus my club is very much focused on board games so a flat 2.5D board is more similar to what they're all familiar with as opposed to the typical 3D terrain that you see in miniature wargames. Though I will be using my wargaming terrain for above ground outdoor encounters.

Back on on topic. Downloading a couple more mods for New Vegas, Faction Overhauls for the Fiends and other Raiders, and the Legion.

Among other things (more variety in Faction NPCs and appearences), they create several large hotspots of conflict. Seeing as I'm planning on joining the NCR with my new playthrough (a wannabee cowboy / aspiring NCR Ranger), it should be fun to get to participate in some large battles.

I hope my pc can handle it all.

I got a mod kind of like those but for skyrim awhile back.. something about real/more/interesting encounters. Running into extra stuff makes those long treks through the wilderness/wasteland a bit more interesting. Sometimes obnoxious/tedious, but not always.

Been running around in normal unmodded new vegas just playing the boring "I'm a helper!" type of person finishing most of the quests I find. I guess I can go explore the DLCs soon, high enough level that I should be able to cover them all. I don't think I have a lot of odd jobs left for House anyway.

Oooh, thanks for sharing, that's fantastic and almost exactly what I'm going for (except maybe a bit more natural caves with only *some* rough-hewn areas). 2.5d has its place for sure, I won't knock anybody that uses it... but I know I'm gonna have more fun building 3d stuff like that dwarf mine and it won't likely get used as much as I'd like. I won't make the walls extremely tall, however, but taller than the 2.5 stuff.

After downloading a few mods for bug fixes etc, my New Vegas is far more stable than before. Haven't any crashes in a long time. However, I am getting an annoying problem where it gets stuck on the loading screen forever forcing me to ctrl alt del.

I've got the Shoddycast Storyteller companion mod, and 've just repaired ede, so I've got a talkative dude in power that never shuts up and two flying robots following me around. They came in handy when I ran into a band of 10+ Legion Deserters and went in guns blazing.

Well over the weekend I played a bit more Pillars of Eternity. But I also picked up Minecraft again for the first time in about a year. I'd forgotten how much of a huge timesink it could be!

I still need to check out a lot of the new stuff that's been added, but that can wait until I get back into the swing of things again.

Do you use the New Vega Script Extender (NVSE) with the 4GB RAM expansion? It's a common error you get as FNV uses a way outdated engine that cannot, naturally, handle much more than what the game comes with.

Does this happen while loading into your character save? If so, try starting a new game and then as quick as you can loading a game from there.

I had that issue on my vanilla game, and that's what fixed the issue

There's a couple Minecraft threads in the Other Games section, the main discussion one should be on the front page, and Darkinnit should have links to all the relevant threads in his sig. To sign up, you want the "Minecraft Server" thread, not the one just titled "Minecraft".

I am aware of it. I was on the server at some point but I'm not a huge fan of multiplayer survival.

After blitzing the final quarter of Witcher 3 at the weekend I have now switched over to Bloodborne.

Played it briefly before I got into Witcher and wasn't convinced, but after a few hours last night I can say I get it now. Its still frustrating but now I've got a feel for what you are supposed to be doing and how the worldscape works its a lot more fun.
