HotS has also fallen out of favour with me. I did well in the past, pushing up to rank 6, but for some reason I now get only useless teams. A nearly interrupted loss streak down to rank 16 (!) later, and with no ending in sight, I have turned my eyes elsewhere.

It's probably going to be the first MOBA I really get into- just loving how it looks and the balance of gameplay complexity and simplicity.

The free starter edition doesn't get guilds, sadly, but I've seen some pretty cool things happening. Felt rather awkward to hand in a quest at Varian while there was some sort of council of nobles going on!

Anyone else picking up ea ufc? I'm too much of an Mma fan to pass it up however it turns out.

I've been playing more Hearthstone, and have recently built a surprisingly effective Warlock Mech deck. It's not super amazing or anything, but it works.

I am looking forward to standard format. Mechs, Naxx, dr.Boom, Avenge, Implosion are going away. Few Druid cards are also going to get nerfed. Although I can't say I've been all that impressed with the spoilers they've released so far.

Got my hands on The Division and have been playing that this past week. As much as I enjoy the setting and such its getting very dull now. That and the Dark Zone is dull as grief

I may stop trying to go for the 4 man team achievement for commander difficulty. I keep doing it on ironman as well but this is the 2nd time (I'm pretty sure) that it's ended in total defeat. It's not so bad by itself but the fact all these timers exist and sometimes there are more than one patrol finding you at a time) makes the 4 team dudes that much worse. Also lost a mission due to stupid hacking failures. Oh and having enemies called in during guerilla ops is just that much worse when you have 4 guys in your team. It's just frustrating spending hours in each play-through or days at a time to end in total and complete failure. Most games are not that rough in consequences overall.

What?! Girls like a guy with a good tongue if he knows how to use it ;P.

Oh and I'm mostly not into blizzard games. The fanbase is very hardcore and their rpg's like diablo and WoW are so grind heavy it's just not fun. StarCraft while fun also needs to learn from strategy games of the modern era instead of gatherers and such. Seriously it feels like in many ways it's a strategy game from the 90's (excepting graphics and similar of course). To each their own but blizzard games are not for me.

Still having a blast playing Eve Online with 3 accounts. Living out in null is the best so much content and such a variety of content. Always having a hint or possibility for danger makes even doing mundane things like PI or mining very exciting.

Got Battlefleet Gothic Armada. Played it for like 20 mins. Meh, but hope it gets better.

As a skaven lover I take offense to this. However instead of complain I wish there was a mode that pit players as rats vs good guys like in Left 4 Dead. That said I don't have the game.

Still hooked on the Bloodborne. It's weird, I've never had a problem with snakes, but after walking through the Forbidden Woods for a few hours, I think I might have a small problem with them now...

Gave Trails in the Sky a go yesterday. I'm usually a bit iffy about JRPG games, but I have to admit, I like how this game plays.

More Rainbow Six Siege, getting good at this game

I think I'm finally getting the hang of xcom 2 commander ironman difficulty with only 4 squad members per team. Wasn't easy and in some cases got cheated by the computer. I was in an evac zone with the enemy VIP and had to go through guns and such to get there. 2 of my guys got there normally, one had to stay behind and get caught but provide support to the others making their way up. I manage to get the other 3 to evac but due to a glitch the guy carrying the enemy VIP isn't able to be lifted even though he's clearly in the evac zone. Because of that despite all the hard fighting I did the entire mission was lost and that soldier was also captured. So no rewards like intel or money. It's really annoying when that happens. Xcom 2 is still a buggy piece of crap sometimes.

Also played some Hearthstone today.

Truly glad to see that once you hit Ranked 20 you're immediately faced with Dr Booms everywhere again.

It's absurd that the casual play tends to be worse than ranked. At least Boom is going away next month and the next expansion seems to be more toned down.

Ugh same old, same old. I lost the campaign I was on. Having to fight 2 sectopods and kill them in august even with all tier 3 gear in xcom 2 commander difficulty in ironman mode with only 4 dudes in your squad is tough. Even if you can kill all the enemies they just drop in more and to think I was planning to run in there, plant some explosive charges and get out. I changed my mind at one point but they just have guys everywhere. It's too tough. I may need a break.

Switched to Pokemon platinum, have no time for anything gamingwise that doesn't fit on my phone so emulation is where it's at for the time being. Hours of additional gameplay were left in emerald but it mostly consisted of grinding with no structure which is boring if you aren't planning to use the perfected Pokemon to battle other players (which I'm pretty sure isn't possible in any emulated format, unless maybe they're sitting next to me).

Anyhoo the NDS interface is a little odd, touchscreen within a touchscreen, but not even the real thing beats the convenience of my phone so I can't complain. The fast forward option for my chosen emulator is pretty weak, doesn't even advance the tempo of the music to nightcore levels but that does mean I can just leave it on all the time. Save state features are clunkier as well but this game seems to use a much less random seed for its random number generator. Not sure if that's down to the ROM or the emulator but it basically means that any action will be the same every time I attempt it after reloading in a battle, different from previous games/emus. While this will keep me more honest in terms of save scumming low accuracy abilities or bad luck, it does mean that some of the more ridiculous/RNG dependent captures and events will be getting ignored.

Should be fun overall, things are moving s bit slower than I'm used to but if I can slow down with them I should be pretty entertained.


I think I'm on the last boss for legend of heroes/trails in the sky. I started it up, saw what I was dealing with and alt-f4ed. Fight is just not going to happen without the strongest party synergy, spacing, magic setups, and --maybe most importantly-- everyone having maxed craft points (think ff7 and hoarding limit breaks) because the minions gotta die ASAP...

It's not so much that it's so hard and one sided...its just that I don't look forward to struggling for half an hour or better to finally die to attrition and have to make the changes anyway. I think it should be pretty manageable bit not blind on the first shot.
