Was clearing out all of my physical game disks recently and decided to add a bunch to Steam...because why not.

Fired up Supreme Commander 1 and am running through the UEF campaign on hard. I haven't played in ages so my build order is crap but I'm having fun. Although, I'm on the first naval map in the campaign and I've realized why I hate games this size - the overwhelming macro is...insane.

Additionally, my buildings shouldn't count towards my unit cap, that's just stupid.

I've got Arcanum on my GoG wishlist- just haven't bought it yet. One of these days when I'm feeling particularly Steampunk, I suppose...

Started a druid in WoW now that I have a PC again.

So fun! I'm speccing feral... so cool to be a big ol' cat killing things.

Played some more starcraft 1. Beat mission 9 (new Gettysburg) and as soon as I won the game crashed and it didn't count the win so I have to do the mission over again. Ugh this sucks. I suppose next time I will learn to save since auto-save wasn't a feature in such an old game.

My vague recollection is that the only particularly tricky mission from the Terran campaign was the last one.

Na I've played the game a ton. Nothing really tricky about it.

Also when you learn the importance of casters (ghosts, science vessels and not much else for terran) they can really neuter an opponent or boost your force. Defensive matrix, EMP and lockdown are amazing. Sheesh I don't even think I built a science vessel in the 9th mission which is a massive shame as EMP would've totally neutered those protoss units.

The only challenge I probably have is with zerg as they were always my worst faction. I'm not entirely used to the starcraft 1 tech tree (at least for terrans) but it's nothing too hard.

I just find myself swarming the enemy. Oh and in mission 9 versus zerg and protoss I did use firebats for front line units to counter zealots and other melee light units like zerglings. I find it surprising how potent a few firebats ganging up on a zealot can be vs like 10 or more marines pouring shots into him. Always so nuts how potent zealots were in starcraft 1. I can only imagine how much someone would poop themselves if 12 zealots came at their base fairly early in the game. Anyway for the ramps leading to the zerg I had a large amount of mines and marines guarding those areas and later siege tanks. Kept most of my forces attacking the toss as you lose vs the zerg due to plot anyway though I'd find it funny if my main force would have a word with them when coming back around. Not even mentioning I had other bases mining and other bases outside the main one producing all my factory units and science vessels. If anything they hit the weak side first with my frontline guys and vehicles being produced 4 at time ready to reinforce with whatever I wanted. I could manage losing that side more easily without much loss. Honestly would love to see how long I could last given the unending tide of zerg but oh well. Would've been a fun challenge though.

I've been completely submerged in Dark Souls 3 for the past couple of weeks - At such a level that I'm now vastly behind on my painting.

Totally worth it though. Just started NG++ to see how far I can push my current character.

Dark souls 3 all of the time. About halfway through. Doing a blind playthrough first and then I'll look up guides/npc quests/lore videos on my second playthrough. Right now I just want to immerse myself and then afterwards see what I missed.

Got to level 100 in WoW, got my Garrison to level 3 as well. Time to gear up!

Some GTA:O, but with the recent rise in trainer use, I'm hesitant, especially because more advanced and damaging menus are out.

Been doing a lil binding of isaac, but mostly minecraft and MOO2. I don't know why, but I love the UI of the older games, a UI and map view based around the old Medieval total war would be awesome, but with current graphics, and the tactical gameplay of the modern versions. I've tried Rome 2, and Medieval 2, but I really find the way the map view works in them to be really irritating.

Planetside is addictive when you have a battle that keeps swinging both ways.

I had some good fun with PS2. I also had some boring grind sessions where the only fast way to find xp was to fly around empty continents trolling for bases that are unmanned, hacking the turrets and killing the other turrets with them.

But yeah, the big back and forth battles were swell. Not quite as structured as some FPS game match types, but with so much more going on. Do you heavy/medic up and plow into the thick of the action likely to die every few seconds/minutes, do you try to be tricky with an infiltrator or a light infantry and attack from an unexpected angle?

I really liked large scale encounters over reasonably open terrain especially at night (although once they released the wrath module for the 4-wheeler thing it didn't matter) during which I would try to get to where I would spawn on the far edge of where the two forces were clashing. Get the 4wheeler thing and just kamikaze run through the enemy back ranks. Sometimes there was a grenade launcher, sometimes blind surprise was better. So funny just running them down, rarely got shot doing it.

Also sniping with the anti tank rocket turret because that's just silly.

I tend towards heavy vehicle-slayer, or a infiltrator counter-sniping.

Played the mission again (in starcraft 1), won again and after the victory button appears and I click it crashes again. Getting real frustrating. I'm going to check the FAQ regarding this. Could be my computer's too good to handle such crappy graphics. It is like a 20 year old game pretty much.

Other times I'll grab a Heavy, load up on anti-tank grenades and go to town on enemy vehicles.

Other other times, I'll play support, with Lasher especially or sometimes a Mana turret, suppressing the enemy in a big field battle.


All super fun. I just wish I could rebind the flight controls so that the mouse controlled yaw instead of roll.

I picked up Far Cry Primal, and have been having fun with it. After the first required mission (as in, the tutorial mission) it seems to not give much direction on where to go. So I've just been killing about any predator I see, and also doing the side quests of saving Wenja whenever I can. Although I'm pretty sure I'm supposed to just do those side quests for now to continue the story, as I'm gathering the tribe or something.

And I've learned to fear the bears, even more so than any of the eagles.

Giant lasher groups were always fun. Not the most effective, but super-fun.

The flight controls were rough for me. I usually just got a mosquito to fly to battle and then let it crash on someone while I sent and shot as normal. Maybe plant some c4 to turn it into a torpedo.

That was also way fun on the flash. Throw two or three c4 on one and charge at a vehicle, boooom! Could even jump off sometimes.

Hearthstone. The Old Gods expansion is live, claimed my C'thun and his cultists. Somehow managed to climb to rank 15 with C'thun Priest. The game is much more fun in standard. Those who haven't, I'd suggest to login. You'll get three free packs, legendary card and for two and seven wins in standard you'll get five packs.

Uhh, I mean, pretty chill guild tbh. Friendly people, always loved Forsaken everything. He's not that cynical out of character, but In Character yeah, I'd say so

Ratchet and Clank PS4. I love it. The graphics are almost Pixar quality and the game play is fun, fresh and old school all mixed up. It's a great classic style platformer.

Waiting for Uncharted 4 to come out soon.

If it wasn't for the fact that I'd own a console for a single game, I'd buy a PS4 for the new Ratchet & Clank. Unfortunately, that's my main issue with consoles: I like one or two exclusives on each. Everything else I like is available on PC.

My only reason to get an Xbox would be Halo; to get a PS4 would be Ratchet & Clank; and to get a Wii would be Legend of Zelda. As much as I like those franchises, I don't like them enough to buy consoles for them.

Hell, I'm still debating whether or not to get a 3DS, because I'd only use it for Pokémon, Animal Crossing, Harvest Moon, and DLing legacy games. Those games, though, have either evolved--excuse the pun--into something I'm not that hot about (Pokémon), are about ready for a new main game to be announced for a potentially separate system (Animal Crossing), don't interest me much past a certain point in the series (Harvest Moon), or aren't available on the virtual store for 3DS (most early Pokémon games, and my favourite Harvest Moon).

My brother has be playing league of legends again. I'm just as gak, but at least I'm enjoying myself more. A little more Endless Legends as well.

After trying out a brand new hunter this time around in WoW I'm totally regretting skipping Cataclysm, Mists, and most of WoD because I was turned off by the hunter changes after Wotlk. I'm like in the mid-teens right now with the character... just going to bring it to 20 so I can unlock that Hearthstone character... that extra pally... then its back to working on my Orc Warrior with my local guild.

Speaking of Hearthstone... I totally love the new expansion. I like the whole 'old gods/old ones' theme to it. I just have to beat 1 more 'standard' match to get some free packs. I originally had about 1400 gold saved up to buy some when the expansion came out but I forgot the release date and thought I had more time to make more gold so decided to use a bunch of it for Arena a week ago.

Also reestablished my Eve Online subscription just in time for the latest patch/expansion. It came with a new opening cinema too which was bad ass. I even found friend on Facebook who plays so this time around it won't me just soloing in a super less than mediocre ship mining low grade stuff while bots killed me.

Also re-bought an XBOX ONE and am super thrilled to hear that Halo Wars is backwards compatible (so long as you re-buy that digitally).

I've done more Far Cry Primal. I now have successfully tamed a Sabretooth, and am going to grab a cave bear and badger soon. I'm loving the game, especially since melee is not how it was in past Far Cry games. Is it amazing? No, but it's certainly an improvement, and is good enough to not ruin the game. Of course, ranged weapons are still the focus, but melee is actually a viable option now.

And I want to find a way to combat the cold easily in the North, but I don't know if I need better gear, or if I'm just missing something. I really want to stick it to the Udam.
